Week 8:\u00a0\u00a0 College Football Line Preview<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can see from the lines below that the oddsmakers are looking to force some action early in the week.\u00a0 Lots of spreads around key numbers so it will be interesting to see in which direction they move as Saturday looms.\u00a0 Things got interesting\u00a0 in the Big Ten with Ohio state losing last week to Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

Is is possible that Michigan State could play for the BCS Championship?…yes, but still unlikely.\u00a0 Game of the week has to be LSU-Auburn.\u00a0 The most entertaining, how about Nebraska vs Oklahoma State?<\/p>\n

Michigan State @ Northwestern (+6.5) <\/strong>Don\u2019t blow it Spartans, at least not this week against NW.\u00a0 The Wildcats are no pushovers but MSU should still be able to cover on the road.\u00a0 NW QB Dan Persa might finally get some pub after this one. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Notre Dame @ Navy (+6.5) <\/strong>I am not sure why you would want to spot ND a TD in this one.\u00a0 Navy beat them last year and did a pretty good job against SMU\u2019s passing game last week.\u00a0 Love the Midshipmen to keep this one close and maybe even win it. <\/p>\n

Ohio @ Miami (Ohio) (+3) <\/strong>A battle for supremacy\u00a0 in the MAC East.\u00a0 Miami is off to a great start and can build some breathing room with a win but Ohio is probably the better team with good formula for winning on the road.\u00a0 I need to give some attention to the MAC every once in a while to keep the betting gods happy.<\/p>\n

Kansas State @ Baylor (-6.5) <\/strong>Baylor bounced back nicely last week with a win and is just another one from clinching bowl eligibility.\u00a0 With that in their sights and being at home they should have more than enough to stymie the Wildcats who might have been lulled into a sense of security with their blowout of Kansas last week.\u00a0 Sorry GT fans but Kansas is horrible.<\/p>\n

Wisconsin @ Iowa (-6) <\/strong>It really helps the Hawkeyes that Wisconsin dumped OSU last week.\u00a0 Now when they do the same to the Badgers at home this weekend it will mean that much more.\u00a0 Iowa has great balance right now, they are making big plays on offense and defense.\u00a0 They also have a nice schedule for reaching the BCS if they can stay undefeated.<\/p>\n

LSU @ Auburn (-6.5) <\/strong>Two undefeated teams that couldn\u2019t be more different.\u00a0 LSU is all about defense while Auburn has shown they can outscore pretty much anybody.\u00a0 Which will pervail?\u00a0 Auburn has the advantage of being at home and a huge advantage at QB.\u00a0 I think this one will not be as close as some think.\u00a0 Take Auburn to win by 10+.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma @ Missouri (+3) <\/strong>A suprise matchup of unbeaten teams.\u00a0 Every time Mizzou meets the Sooners they get spanked.\u00a0 They haven\u2019t beaten OU since 1998 and only one of those losses wasn\u2019t by double digits.\u00a0 When all is said and done the Sooners might be the best team in the country.\u00a0 Getting them for a FG here is too good to be true.<\/p>\n

Nebraska @ Oklahoma State (+6) <\/strong>This could have been another undefeated showdown in the Big 12.\u00a0 Instead Nebraska needs a victory on the road to keep their division and Big 12 title hopes alive.\u00a0 The Cowboys offense has been sizzling but Nebraska will be a tough test.\u00a0 I want to back the Cowboys so I am going to wait until this one moves.<\/p>\n
