Jimmie Johnson (9\/5):<\/strong>\u00a0 Johnson won four of the last six ACS races, including three straight fall races plus the spring race this year.\u00a0\u00a0He has the most wins at Fontana among active drivers (5) and the best average finish (5.5).\u00a0\u00a0In the past seven Fontana races, Johnson has only finished outside the top-3 once.\u00a02.\u00a0\u00a0Matt Kenseth (10\/1):\u00a0 Not normally known as a top qualifier, Kenseth is starting third Sunday after a strong qualifying effort \u2013 the highest starting spot among Chase contenders. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Kenseth\u2019s team is bringing a brand-new chassis to Fontana this weekend and, so far, it seems to be working well for him.<\/p>\n

1. Kasey Kahne (25\/1):<\/strong>\u00a0 Kahne won at Fontana in the fall \u201906 race, though with a different team and a different car.\u00a0\u00a0He qualified fifth for Sunday\u2019s race and was ninth on the speed chart for Saturday morning practice.<\/p>\n

Summary<\/strong>:\u00a0 Last week\u2019s race winner, Greg Biffle, is a two-time winner at Fontana and was strong in practice Saturday as well.\u00a0\u00a0His crew chief, Greg Erwin, notes, \u201cWe\u2019ve seen fuel mileage come into play at California several times, so pit strategy will be a factor.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Strategy will be especially important given the new race length.\u00a0<\/p>\n
