With Kolb at the helm for most of the game versus Washington, the Eagles offense looked lost and out of sync. Perhaps a week of practice with Kolb will fix that but if Philadelphia has serious playoff aspirations, Kolb will have to vastly improve while Vick is out with injuries. <\/p>\n

Luckily for Philadelphia they\u2019re playing a very poor San Francisco team. The Niners lost again last week, falling 16-14 to Atlanta to drop to 0-4 on the season. <\/p>\n

There is tension throughout the organization and Mike Singletary will get fired should the losing continue.<\/p>\n

Sunday NFL Betting – How Can Philadelphia Win?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Philadelphia offense needs to get in sync. Practice makes perfect and that was the motto for the past week as Kolb reacquainted himself with the first-string offense of the Eagles. Before the revelation known as Michael Vick, this offense belonged to Kolb. Now it\u2019s his job to prove why that was so in the first place. Versus a weak team like San Francisco, the leash is a short one. Should he lose, he may never receive a vote of confidence from management or the city of Philadelphia again. Should he impress, another Eagles quarterback controversy just might commence. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

How Can San Francisco Win?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Like Philadelphia, San Francisco needs improved play from their quarterback; however, this situation is more dire. Alex Smith has looked downright terrible so far in 2010, ranking near the bottom of nearly every statistical quarterback category. Coach Singletary has expressed his confidence in the pivot but that can only go so far. Smith is eventually going to have to prove why he was picked first overall a few years ago. That window is quickly closing.<\/p>\n

But the Niners struggles reach beyond the quarterback position. The pass defense failed to contain Roddy White in last week\u2019s loss to the Falcons, a lapse in protection that eventually led to the team\u2019s downfall.<\/p>\n

The good news for them is that they have played only one home game to date. They did lose to Seattle, Kansas City, New Orleans and Atlanta, but three of those were on the road. At home, they should be able to put forth their best effort yet.<\/p>\n

Outlook<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 49ers entered this season as a favorite for the NFC West crown; they\u2019re quickly becoming the league\u2019s biggest disappointment. Because of the ineptitude of their entire division, that preseason prediction isn\u2019t out of reach yet, but it\u2019s going to take a lot of work to get there. The Eagles, on the other hand, need to keep pace in their division as their top player recovers from injury. <\/p>\n

Even with Kolb behind centre, the Eagles are the better team in this matchup. <\/p>\n

They might get the win but the Eagles will cover.<\/p>\n
