NFL Week 5 Matchups<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Four weeks into the 2010 NFL season there is already some serious head-scratching going on. There is only one undefeated team left; the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs, the NFC East and West each have three teams at 2-2, Indianapolis has already lost as many games as it did all last season, and St. Louis is in the midst of a two game winning streak. One can only imagine what surprises are in store for this week. <\/p>\n

The following is a brief look at each matchup in Week 5 along with the current odds as supplied by Bookmaker.com.<\/p>\n

Sunday, Oct. 10<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1:00 P.M. N.Y. Giants at Houston (-3)<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 44.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

New York\u2019s defense dispelled all previous rumors of its demise with nine sacks in the first half alone in last Sunday night\u2019s 17-3 win over Chicago. Houston and QB Matt Schaub\u2019s passing offense is ranked ninth in the league, but its rushing offense is ranked first behind RB Arian Foster.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville (1) at Buffalo<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 41<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jacksonville Head Coach took himself off an early \u2018hot seat\u2019 after the Jaguars pulled-out a last second 31-28 win over Indianapolis with a 59 yard field goal. Buffalo is giving up an average of 31.2 points a game and scoring an average of just 15.2.<\/p>\n

Chicago (-2.5) at Carolina<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 35<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chicago QB Jay Cutler\u2019s status for this game remains uncertain after getting knocked out of the Giants game with a concussion. Carolina WR Steve Smith will most likely miss this game with a high ankle sprain.<\/p>\n

Atlanta (-3) at Cleveland<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 41<\/strong><\/p>\n

Atlanta is ranked ninth in total points scored with an average of 23.2 per game and sixth in total points allowed, giving up an average of 15. Cleveland QB Senaca Wallace completed 18-of-30 attempts for 184 yards and one TD in the Browns 23-20 win over Cincinnati, their first of the year.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay at Cincinnati (-6.5)<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 38<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tampa Bay\u2019s offense is ranked 26th<\/sup> in both total average yards per game (288) and\u00a0 average points scored (16.7). Cincinnati QB Carson Palmer is currently fifth in the NFL with 1,038 passing yards in his first four games.<\/p>\n

Kansas City at Indianapolis (-8)<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 44.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kansas City\u2019s defense is ranked 14th<\/sup> in total yards allowed, but second in total points allowed. Indianapolis\u2019s offense is ranked third overall and second in points scored, but its defense is ranked 24th<\/sup> in total yards and points allowed. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Denver at Baltimore (7.5)<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 38.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

Denver QB Kyle Orton currently leads the league in total passing attempts with 175 and yards with 1,419. Baltimore\u2019s defense is only giving up an average of 13.8 points per game, but its offense is only scoring an average of 15.2 points per game.<\/p>\n

St. Louis at Detroit (-3)<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 43<\/strong><\/p>\n

St. Louis rookie quarterback Sam Bradford has already led the Rams to twice as many wins as last year\u2019s team had the whole year. Detroit QB Matthew Stafford has not completely ruled out be able to go in this game, but will more than likely wait at least one more week while recovering from a shoulder injury.<\/p>\n

Green Bay (-2.5) at Washington<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 44<\/strong><\/p>\n

Green Bay\u2019s offense is ranked 22nd<\/sup> in rushing yards per game and its defense is ranked 24th<\/sup> in rushing yards allowed. Washington RB Clinton Portis will most likely sit this one out with a groin injury.<\/p>\n

4:05 P.M. New Orleans (-7) at Arizona<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 45.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

New Orleans lost three players in its secondary to injuries in last week\u2019s win over Carolina and they all remain doubtful for this game. Arizona is 2-2 but ranked 29th<\/sup> in points scored and 31st<\/sup> in points allowed.<\/p>\n

Tennessee at Dallas (-6.5)<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 43<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tennessee RB Chris Johnson has only gained 354 rushing yards in his first four games including being held to just 53 yards in last week\u2019s loss to Denver. Dallas is 5-0 in the last five seasons after its bye week.<\/p>\n

San Diego (-6) at Oakland<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 44.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

San Diego\u2019s offense is ranked first in total yards per game and its defense is ranked first in total yards allowed. Oakland K Sebastian Janikowski has missed five field goals so far this season including a potential game-winning 32 yard chip shot in last week\u2019s loss to the Cardinals.<\/p>\n

8:20 P.M. Philadelphia at San Francisco (-3.5)<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 38<\/strong><\/p>\n

Philadelphia QB Kevin Kolb has temporarily got his job back after Michael Vick injured his ribs in last week\u2019s game against Washington. San Francisco QB Alex Smith has thrown three TD\u2019s vs. seven INT\u2019s in his first four games and has a passer rating of 66.1<\/p>\n

Monday, Oct. 11<\/strong><\/h3>\n

8:30 P.M. Minnesota at N.Y. Jets (-4)<\/strong>
\nOver\/Under: 37.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

Minnesota QB Brett Favre has thrown six interceptions in three games this season after only throwing seven all last year. New York\u2019s offense is ranked 14th<\/sup> in total yards per game, while its defense is ranked 13th<\/sup> in total yards allowed.<\/p>\n
