Week 4 in the NFL treated us to some wild finishes and some ugly injuries.<\/p>\n

Falcons 16, 49ers 14<\/strong><\/p>\n

The San Francisco 49ers died a slow death in this one, flying out to a 14-0 lead only to go scoreless over the final three quarters as the Falcons slowly chipped away at the lead. Though Mike Singletary could (should?) lose his job any day now, the crazy thing is that San Francisco is still just two games back of first in the woeful NFC West.<\/p>\n

Jets 38, Bills 14<\/strong><\/p>\n

There shouldn\u2019t be any more doubt that the Bills are football\u2019s worst team. The latest guy to terrorize them: Mr. LaDainian Tomlinson. He continued to turn back the clock on Sunday, running for 133 yards and two scores. Cool. <\/p>\n

Ravens 17, Steelers 14<\/strong><\/p>\n

We had to assume the Steelers would get complacent. Starting 3-0 without Ben Roethlisberger meant they were playing with the house\u2019s money. So it makes sense that the healthier Ravens took them down. How about that game-winning drive by the poised Joe Flacco late in the fourth quarter?<\/p>\n

Saints 16, Panthers 14<\/strong><\/p>\n

It certainly wasn\u2019t pretty but the Saints ground out a home win over the Panthers. Interestingly enough, the Saints ran the ball just fine without Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush, totalling 121 yards on the ground. It was a welcome sight for the Panthers to see DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart each find the end zone in the loss. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Browns 23, Bengals 20<\/strong><\/p>\n

For shame, Cincinnati. No excuse for this loss \u2013 especially since Terrell Owens went off for 10 catches and 222 yards. The story for the Browns was once again Peyton Hillis, who posted his second straight 100-yard game.<\/p>\n

Packers 28, Lions 26<\/strong><\/p>\n

This may have been the day\u2019s oddest game. Shaun Hill threw for 300-plus yards; Aaron Rodgers attempted only 17 passes; the Lions had the ball for 37 minutes compared to 22 for Green Bay. Yet the Pack still held on for the win, with Charles Woodson\u2019s pick-six return being the key.<\/p>\n

Rams 20, Seahawks 3<\/strong><\/p>\n

Are the Seahawks the NFL\u2019s wimpiest team? They\u2019re just so…spineless on the road. We can safely say we shouldn\u2019t bet on them at all for the rest of the year unless they\u2019re at home. And how about that Sam Bradford for St. Louis? The kid looks like a three-year vet already.<\/p>\n

Jaguars 31, Colts 28<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s hope Josh Scobee partied hard and got his teammates to carry him on their shoulders after winning this one with a 59-yard boot. Kickers are so often maligned for their misses that they should cherish the moments when they\u2019re on top.<\/p>\n

Texans 31, Raiders 24<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cool story here. Arian Foster opens the afternoon on the bench after missing a team meeting, then enters the game running like a bat out of hell, running for 131 yards and scoring two second-half touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Chargers 41, Cardinals 10<\/strong><\/p>\n

You could see this beating coming a mile away. The Chargers we sure to come out angry after Leon Washington singlehandedly stole a win from them at Seattle the week before.<\/p>\n

Redskins 17, Eagles 12<\/strong><\/p>\n

What was supposed to be the week\u2019s most exciting matchup was a real dud. Three and a half hours of check downs, injuries and penalties. Donovan McNabb was on a high after the Philly fans gave him a standing ovation; Michael Vick wasn\u2019t so lucky, as he took a nasty shot to the midsection and will get an MRI today. Kevin Kolb looked like Trent Edwards 2.0 in relief so the Eagles desperately need Vick to be OK.<\/p>\n

Giants 17, Bears 3<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was another wacky game. Jay Cutler got sacked nine times before leaving with a concussion \u2013\u00a0in the second quarter.<\/em> The Giants totalled 10 sacks and even injured Bears second-string quarterback Todd Collins. The Bears are 3-1 but their Week 1-victory came when Calvin Johnson\u2019s touchdown was unfairly nixed and their Week 3 win came when the Packers took their most penalties in several decades. You have to wonder if the Monsters of the Midway are pretenders now. Their O-line could be the NFL\u2019s worst.<\/p>\n
