WAIVER WIRE WEEK 4<\/h2>\n

This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. Dave B scours the free agent pools in fantasy land for the best available talent every week. Availability, of course, depends on the league. We\u2019re using 12 team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median, but we\u2019ll look for roster candidates for leagues of all shapes and sizes.<\/p>\n

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our cheatsheets, a who\u2019s hot, and who\u2019s not report plus more in our fantasy football<\/strong><\/a> guide.<\/p>\n

Week 3 is done. The byes start to go into effect next week. It is officially time to look for that one week gem while your Fantasy starter is on their bye. There are some interesting options \u2013 ones that could potentially help you going forward.<\/p>\n

QBs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Chad Henne \u2013\u00a0Miami Dolphins<\/strong> \u2013 He was a super sleeper early in the season but Sunday night\u2019s effort against the Jets has him firmly on the radar. 363 yards, two touchdowns and an interception are great numbers, especially against the Jets.<\/p>\n

Kyle Orton \u2013\u00a0Denver Broncos \u2013<\/strong> He hasn\u2019t had a bad game yet and has turned a no-name receiving crew into a formidable force. He is near the top in terms of Fantasy production among quarterbacks \u2013 a fine one or two week replacement for sure!<\/p>\n

Mark Sanchez \u2013\u00a0New York Jets \u2013<\/strong> I wasn\u2019t convinced last week but I am now. He managed three touchdown passes versus the Dolphins and looked to be in total command of the offense.<\/p>\n

Others to Monitor:<\/strong> Rory Fitzpatrick \u2013 Buffalo Bills, Bruce Gradkowski \u2013 Oakland Raiders <\/strong><\/p>\n

RBs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Payton Hillis \u2013\u00a0Cleveland Browns \u2013<\/strong> He has won the starting job in Cleveland with efforts like the one on Sunday. How many of your starting running backs had 170 combined yards and a touchdown on Sunday? All of that came against the mighty Baltimore Raves.<\/p>\n

BenJarvus Green-Ellis \u2013\u00a0New England Patriots \u2013 <\/strong>He is clearly the most gifted runner on the Pats. He\u2019s the reason that Maroney was expendable. Green-Ellis will emerge on a good offensive team.<\/p>\n

Kenneth\u00a0 Darby \u2013 St. Louis Rams \u2013 <\/strong>If Steven Jackson misses any time, and the Rams decide to pass on Larry Johnson, Darby will see a lot of touches for the emerging St. Louis offense.<\/p>\n

Others to monitor:<\/strong> Larry Johnson \u2013 Free Agent \u2013 Could sign with St. Louis this week. \"Sports<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

WRs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lance Moore \u2013\u00a0New Orleans Saints \u2013<\/strong> He will be a sought after name after a six catch 149 yard, two touchdown performance this week. Don\u2019t expect the same production every week of course but he\u2019s a decent pickup.<\/p>\n

Louis Murphy \u2013\u00a0Oakland Raiders \u2013 <\/strong> There is absolutely no doubt about who the best receiving option on the Raiders is. Murphy is the go-to-guy and 119 yards receiving on Sunday is further proof.<\/p>\n

Joshua Cribbs \u2013\u00a0Cleveland Browns <\/strong>\u2013 He led the team with eight targets, with five catches and 58 yards on Sunday. Word has it that the Browns will do everything possible to get Cribbs the ball more. I think it\u2019s a good idea.<\/p>\n

Others to Monitor –<\/strong> Davone Bess \u2013 Miami Dolphins, Jabar Gaffney \u2013 Denver Broncos, Danny Amendola \u2013 St. Louis Rams<\/p>\n

TEs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Aaron Hernandez \u2013\u00a0New England Patriots \u2013<\/strong> I\u2019ve been telling you for weeks and I am telling you again. He\u2019s a stud and is entering every week starter status.<\/p>\n

Tony Moeaki \u2013\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs \u2013<\/strong> ditto!<\/p>\n

Kevin Boss \u2013\u00a0NY Giants \u2013<\/strong> many of you dropped him when he was injured but he\u2019s back. 88 yards receiving on Sunday is proof.<\/p>\n

Others to monitor \u2013<\/strong> Ben Watson \u2013 Cleveland Browns<\/p>\n

Defense<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Indianapolis Colts: <\/strong>With Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis going against Jacksonville and Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis is a good bet to have a couple of good weeks at least.<\/p>\n

Seattle Seahawks \u2013 <\/strong>This unit is averaging over two sacks per game, had five takeaways against San Diego and have Leon Washington returning kicks. A Steven Jackson \u2013 less Rams are up next (then the bye!)<\/p>\n
