NFL news: Broncos receiver McKinley found dead; Reggie Bush breaks leg; Braylon Edwards arrested<\/strong><\/p>\n The Denver Broncos have just lost a teammate for the third time in four years. Wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead in his home yesterday. Arapahoe County police believe the death is a suicide caused from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>\n McKinley was on injured reserve for injuring his left knee for the second time in eight months. A fifth-round draft choice out of South Carolina, McKinley is the Gamecocks\u2019 all-time leading receiver with 207 catches for 2,781 yards. He was known for his infectious smile. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.<\/p>\n Reggie Bush got some bad news of his own after winding up at the bottom of a pile against the 49ers on Monday night football. He broke his lower right leg and is expected to miss at least six weeks for the Saints.<\/p>\n New York Jets receiver Braylon Edwards finally got his act together on the field in Week 2 \u2013 but he wasn\u2019t so well-behaved off it. He was arrested in Manhattan around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday for a DWI charge. Police pulled him over for excessive tinting on his windows but breathalysed him after they smelled booze in his car. <\/p>\n MLB news: Matt Diaz trips up wild fan <\/strong><\/p>\n Braves outfielder Matt Diaz played hero in last night\u2019s game at Philadelphia. When a crazed fan in a full body suit charged onto the field, Diaz stuck a leg out and tripped him. \u201cI saw this idiot coming right at me,\u201d Diaz said. \u201cI figured he\u2019d be better off getting tripped than Tased.\u201d<\/p>\n NBA news: Mo Williams mulled retirement after LeBron left; Baron Davis nominated for Emmy<\/strong><\/p>\n One factor the media haven\u2019t explored in too much detail yet: the effect of LeBron James\u2019 departure on the remaining Cleveland Cavaliers. Take Mo Williams, for example. The 27-year-old was so deflated after James signed with Miami that he says he almost quit basketball. He said he \u201clost a lot of love for the game this summer.\u201d<\/p>\n Baron Davis, Emmy nominee? You better believe it. Davis executive produced and provided the key background access for\u00a0Bloods and Crips: Made in America, <\/em>a documentary that details the very gang life he escaped. The film received an Emmy nomination for next Monday\u2019s award show in New York.<\/p>\n NCAA football news: Houston loses Case Keenum and backup for season<\/strong><\/p>\n Houston has enjoyed college football\u2019s most prolific offense for a couple years now and a big reason for that was quarterback Case Keenum. So it\u2019s tough to imagine what type of heartbreak the Cougars are feeling now that Keenum, the NCAA\u2019s fifth all-time leading passer, is out for the season. He suffered a torn ACL trying to tackle an opponent after an interception during Houston\u2019s loss.<\/p>\n Worse yet, Keenum\u2019s backup, Cotton Turner, is also out for the season.
