Week 4:\u00a0\u00a0 College Football Lines<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Last week there weren\u2019t any \u201cmonster games\u201d.\u00a0 The only ones that taught us a thing or two was Arkansas over Georgia and Arizona over Iowa (called it).\u00a0 This week there are lots of juicy conference contests and we will learn which teams have been getting fat on bad competition and which ones are actually good.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

I am looking at you NC State, beating Cincinnati isn\u2019t what it used to be.<\/p>\n

Miami vs. Pittsburgh (+3.5)<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a rare coincidence both of these teams were off last week so they should be primed for a hard hitting contest.\u00a0 Home team Panthers will be missing pass rushing phenom Romeus while Hurricanes need to keep the ball to themselves instead of sharing with the other team.\u00a0 On the road I like the Canes…you might want to grab them early before the line shifts.<\/p>\n

Viginia Tech vs. Boston College (+4)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Va Tech announced that they are still interested in playing this season by dominating East Carolina.\u00a0 Meanwhile BC is unbeaten (not really challenged) and hoping to ride a stout D and strong running game to success as an underdog in the ACC.\u00a0 These teams have played 5 times over the last three seasons.\u00a0 The last two in Boston the Eagles won and covered.<\/p>\n

NC State vs Georgia Tech (-8)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wolfpack\u2019s trio of wins have been increasingly impressive but this will be a stern test for QB Russell Wilson and company.\u00a0 GT got their triple option mojo back this week and when it it is rumbling they are truly the Wrambling Wreck.\u00a0 Wilson will try to keep up but it will be tough.\u00a0 Watch out for the backdoor cover here.<\/p>\n

Temple At Penn State (-16.5)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Temple is 3-0 and should not be completely discounted against Penn State.\u00a0 They play within their limits and anything is possible when facing a freshman QB.\u00a0 Last year PSU won 31-6, I expect that it will be closer than that this time. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Alabama vs. Arkansas (+7)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anytime you play the top team in the nation you have a chance to make a statement.\u00a0 If Arkansas wins this week they can join the shortlist of teams in the running for the BCS.\u00a0 Ryan Mallett won\u2019t be able to take off a quarter like he did against Georgia last week.\u00a0 I am curious to see how this line will move throughout the week.\u00a0 Bama shredded the Razorbacks 49-14 at Arkansas two years ago.<\/p>\n

Stanford vs. Notre Dame (+4.5)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is Notre Dame getting too much respect for beating Purdue on opening weekend?\u00a0 They have lost back to back games against Michigan and Michigan State and now have to play a team that is probably better than both of them.\u00a0 If this drops to a FG I will definitely pounce.\u00a0 Stanford has been killing teams all season<\/p>\n

Nevada vs. BYU (+4)<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am so proud of the Wolf Pack.\u00a0 I picked them for the straight up upset last Friday and they came through against Cal.\u00a0 After Denard Robinson there might not be a more dangerous player in the nation than Colin Kaepernick.\u00a0 I was hoping for BYU to show up last week so I could scoop Nevada again at a great price this week, instead they crapped out again.\u00a0 If you can still get Nevada at -4 grab them.<\/p>\n

Georgia vs. Mississippi State (-1.5)<\/strong><\/p>\n

How far will Georgia fall?\u00a0 They are already 0-2 in the SEC and playing spoiler at this point but if they lose to MSU there will be a revolt.\u00a0 This battle of the Bulldogs seems like it could go either way.\u00a0 If you have a side you like go for it now<\/p>\n

South Carolina vs. Auburn (-2.5)<\/strong><\/p>\n

A couple of undefeated SEC teams looking to contend for division titles.\u00a0 I was really impressed with Cam Newton when I saw him earlier and this the exactly kind of game Spurrier hasn\u2019t won at South Carolina.\u00a0 While this is still below a FG Auburn is the definite play at home.\u00a0 They have a great shot at being undefeated and facing Alabama the last week of the season.<\/p>\n

Oregon State vs.. Boise State (-17.5)<\/strong><\/p>\n

For Boise\u2019s sake I hope they don\u2019t sleep on the Beavers.\u00a0 Oregon State hung tough against TCU and they have another chance to play giant killer here.\u00a0 The Beavers always improve as the season goes so here\u2019s hoping they have learned something from last week\u2019s ugly win over Louisville.\u00a0 I will be taking the points.<\/p>\n

California vs. Arizona (-7)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two teams with total opposite performances last week.\u00a0 Nevada creamed Cal while Arizona stunned Iowa.\u00a0 Both have yet to play a conference game yet.\u00a0 Arizona has won and covered in the last two matchups in the desert, both as underdogs.\u00a0 How will they do as the favourite and with new found expectations.<\/p>\n
