WAIVER WIRE WEEK 3<\/h2>\n

This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. Dave B scours the free agent pools in fantasy land for the best available talent every week. Availability, of course, depends on the league. We\u2019re using 12 team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median, but we\u2019ll look for roster candidates for leagues of all shapes and sizes.<\/p>\n

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our cheatsheets, a who\u2019s hot, and who\u2019s not report plus more in our fantasy football<\/strong><\/a> guide.<\/p>\n

It`s time to start looking forward to Week 3 in your Fantasy leagues and time to look back at the first two weeks to determine who may help your Fantasy squads. Interestingly, there are some old faces in new positions \u2013 past Studs that were not drafted in most Fantasy leagues.<\/p>\n

QB’s<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Michael Vick \u2013\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles \u2013<\/strong> It\u2019s time to pick him up even though Kolb may come back this week. It may actually be too late! There is bound to be a QB controversy in Phili. and the way Vick performed in Week 2, he just may be the starter before too long.<\/p>\n

Shaun Hill \u2013\u00a0Detroit Lions \u2013<\/strong> He will be behind center for a few more weeks at least. Against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2, he threw for two touchdowns. With Jahvid Best, Calvin Johnson and an emerging Brandon Pettigrew, Hill could surprise<\/p>\n

Josh Freeman \u2013\u00a0Tampa bay Buccaneers \u2013 <\/strong>Not saying that he\u2019ll start for you in Week 3 but if you have roster space, he may be worth tucking away for later.<\/p>\n

\"Sports<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

RB’s<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Thomas Jones \u2013\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs \u2013<\/strong> Jones got a bigger workload last Week and is proving to be reliable again. He should get plenty of touches in KC on a team that will have to run the ball in order to win. Jones got the ball a staggering 22 times last week.<\/p>\n

LaDainian Tomlinson \u2013\u00a0New York Jets \u2013 <\/strong>ditto for Tomlinson. He clearly looked like the better runner for the Jets. He broke tackles, ran hard and looked like the LT of old. I don\u2019t know if Shonne Greene is quite ready yet \u2013 he looks like a platoon player to me.<\/p>\n

Jason Snelling \u2013\u00a0Atlanta Falcons \u2013 <\/strong>Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood were both injured last week and Snelling filled in with 186 combined yards and three touchdowns. Turner is expected back this week, but if there is a valuable handcuff out there, it\u2019s Snelling.<\/p>\n

WR’s<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Demaryius Thomas \u2013\u00a0Denver Broncos \u2013 <\/strong> The First Round draft choice finally made his debut and he didn\u2019t disappoint. Eight catches, 97 yards and a touchdown have him on the Fantasy radar. He\u2019s big and fast and a legitimate threat for a reborn Kyle Orton.<\/p>\n

Eddie Royal \u2013\u00a0Denver Broncos \u2013 <\/strong> He may have been picked up already but if not, consider him now. He followed up a good Week 1 with five catches, 65 yards and a touchdown. He\u2019s back and is a threat once again.<\/p>\n

Kevin Walter \u2013\u00a0Houston Texans \u2013 <\/strong> Injuries and the presence of Jacoby Jones have taken Walter off the Fantasy radar. 11 catches for 144 yards and a touchdown in week 2 have him back on it.<\/p>\n

Others to Monitor \u2013<\/strong> Justin Gage \u2013 Tennessee Titans, Deon Butler \u2013 Seattle Seahawks, Louis Murphy \u2013 Oakland Raiders<\/p>\n

TE’s<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Aaron Hernandez \u2013\u00a0New England Patriots \u2013 <\/strong> He certainly has the attention of Tom Brady which is obviously a good thing! He had a touchdown in Week 1 and caught six balls for 101 yards in Week 2.<\/p>\n

Brandon Pettigrew \u2013\u00a0Detroit Lions \u2013 <\/strong> He was a Tight End Sleeper last season and is finally living up to his billing. Seven catches for 108 yards in Week 2 is further proof.<\/p>\n

Mercedes Lewis \u2013\u00a0Jacksonville Jaguars \u2013 <\/strong>He had two touchdowns in Week 1 and was productive once again in Week 2 with five catches for 70 yards.<\/p>\n

Others to monitor \u2013 <\/strong>Tony Moeaki \u2013 Kansas City Chiefs, Dante Rosario \u2013 Carolina Panthers<\/p>\n

Defense<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

<\/strong>Tampa Bay Buccaneers \u2013 <\/strong>The Buccaneers are playing well on both sides of the ball and are 2-0. They have given up 21 total points so far this season; have four sacks, three interceptions and four forced fumbles.<\/span><\/p>\n
