As we head into the fourth full week of 2010\u00a0NFL preseason gambling<\/strong><\/a> there are some interesting position battles heating up on all 32 NFL teams. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s arguably no trickier time for NFL preseason betting than the fourth and final week. We simply don\u2019t know how many reps, if any, head coaches will give their stars.<\/p>\n

As a result, we should look at Thursday games with an eye on the backups above anyone else.<\/p>\n

New York Jets @ Philadelphia Eagles<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thursday, September 2, 7:30 p.m. ET
\nNFL betting favorite: Eagles -1<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see how the Jets and Eagles handle their quarterbacks on Thursday night. They both want us to believe they\u2019re \u201chappy\u201d with Mark Sanchez and Kevin Kolb, respectively, but both guys have looked shaky this preseason. Kolb completed less than half of his passes last week, throwing constantly off his back foot. <\/p>\n

Mark Sanchez wasn\u2019t a whole lot better. It\u2019s enough to make you wonder if we\u2019ll see both pivots in action for extra tune-up work on Thursday. Don\u2019t expect Kolb\u2019s top target, DeSean Jackson, to play, however. He\u2019s too nicked up for preseason duty.<\/p>\n

Green Bay Packers @ Kansas City Chiefs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thursday, September 2, 8:00 p.m. ET
\nNFL betting favorite: Chiefs -5.5<\/p>\n

The line tells us what we need to know: that the Packers are expected to rest their top skill players. <\/p>\n

\"Sports<\/a><\/p>\n

Aaron Rodgers, Jermichael Finley and Green Bay offense are already in midseason form, crushing the competition this preseason, so Mike McCarthy has no reason to risk injuring them. Green Bay\u2019s defense needs some work, however. Also, Mr. Motivator, Todd Haley, may not rest all his key Chiefs. <\/p>\n

Maybe he wants Jamaal Charles to prove one more time that he can still be Kansas City\u2019s feature back? Hopefully we\u2019ll at least see dynamic Dexter McCluster on the field for K.C. on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Baltimore Ravens @ St. Louis Rams<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nNFL betting favorite: Rams -3<\/p>\n

If what Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo says is true \u2013 that he hasn\u2019t decided on a starting quarterback yet \u2013 we should see more of Sam Bradford on Thursday, shouldn\u2019t we? Let\u2019s hope so, as he was exciting to watch last week. Bradford picked apart the Patriots, going 15 of 22 for two touchdowns and no interceptions. <\/p>\n

If he plays, the competition is still open. If he doesn\u2019t, that likely means Spagnuolo has already anointed the No. 1 overall pick his starter and doesn\u2019t want to jeopardize his health.<\/p>\n

Denver Broncos @ Minnesota Vikings<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thursday, September 2, 8:00 p.m. ET<\/p>\n

From Elvis Dumervil to Correll Buckhalter to Knowshon Moreno to Tim Tebow, the Broncos can\u2019t stay healthy this preseason. However, on the bright side, most of their walking wounded are on the mend. Moreno should be ready to start at tailback next week but may not get any snaps on Thursday night. <\/p>\n

Tebow led a 76-yard touchdown drive last week and may see more action in Denver\u2019s preseason finale. Will Minnesota give Brett Favre a few more reps? Perhaps he\u2019ll want to work on his rapport with the the struggling Bernard Berrian.<\/p>\n
