Race<\/strong>: Carfax 400 – Michigan International Speedway For several years this was considered a Ford-friendly track, particularly for the Roush-Fenway Fords, but the last two races have been won by Toyota drivers – Brian Vickers last August and Denny Hamlin this June. Other recent winners include Mark Martin, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, and Kasey Kahne. <\/p>\n Greg Biffle won back-to-back here in August ’04 and June ’05. Kahne scored the pole for Sunday’s race with Jimmie Johnson in P2. <\/p>\n It has been warm and muggy at MIS this weekend and Sunday’s forecast calls for a chance of rain and thunderstorms. <\/p>\n Safe Bets:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Tony Stewart (10\/1):<\/strong> Stewart qualified fourth for Sunday’s race and was ninth in practice Friday. He has one previous win at MIS (2000) and finished fifth here in June, but said the Hendrick engines are strong this weekend. <\/p>\n 2. Greg Biffle (14\/1):<\/strong> Biffle had a third-place finish at Indy and won at Pocono a few weeks ago before struggling at Watkins Glen last week. He has two wins at MIS and qualified sixth after running fifth in practice. <\/p>\n Dark Horse:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Clint Bowyer (22\/1):<\/strong> Bowyer qualified third for Sunday’s race and was 13th-fastest in practice Friday. He finished eighth in this race last year. Bowyer is fighting hard to hang on to the final Chase berth for 2010. Summary<\/strong>: There were a number of surprises in qualifying Friday, including Denny Hamlin in 33rd, Jeff Gordon in 36th, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. in 38th – all previous Michigan winners.
