They should be able to score in bunches, and the attacking 3-4 defense installed by coordinator Dom Capers last season will only be better.<\/p>\n So what\u2019s the catch? An injury to Aaron Rodgers could gum up the works, but that applies to just about every team in the league. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n GB should move the ball as well as anyone this season if Rodgers comes anywhere near last year\u2019s numbers \u2013 more than 4,000 yards passing, 30 TD passes against only seven interceptions, and a 103.2 passer rating. Heady stuff. Rodgers has an A-minus back in Ryan Grant (1,200 yards rushing in 2009) and two quality receivers in Greg Jennings and Donald Driver. The Pack also have high hopes for emerging tight end Jeremichael Finley.<\/p>\n It might be picking nits, but the offense line needs to step up a bit this season. Rodgers was hit way too many times in 2009, especially early on, and while part of that was his fault and another part was due to O-line injuries, everyone looks healthy this time around so there are no excuses. GB filled a future need by taking tackle Bryan Bulaga in the first round.<\/p>\n The Packers\u2019 defense gave up 14 or fewer points in 6 of their last 8 regular-season games in \u201909, but came apart at the seams in that 51-45 epic playoff loss at Arizona. Charles Woodson, bound for the Hall of Fame shortly after retirement, is still the team\u2019s best defender at age 34. And Al Harris (34 and coming off ACL surgery last November) is nearing the finish line.<\/p>\n But there is an abundance of young talent elsewhere, led by linebacker Clay Matthews, who should be one of the best edge rushers in the league when he figures things out a little more. A.J. Hawk hasn\u2019t developed into the animal that GB fans had hoped, but he gets the job done and has a great name. The front line figured out Capers\u2019s 3-4 around mid-season, and should be dominant again as nose tackle B.J. Raji, Cullen Jenkins and Ryan Pickett work together.<\/p>\n THE WAY IT LOOKS NOW<\/strong> \u2013 There will be a flop at the top of the NFC North.
