The offensive line is an underrated part of an NFL team. Run Blocking and Pass Blocking are separate entities but must co-exist if a team wants to be successful.<\/p>\n

Without a good O-line running backs struggle, quarterbacks get sacked and wide receivers are stuck running routes with no hope of the ball ever reaching them. \"\"<\/p>\n

Take a look at Dave B\u2019s Offensive Line rankings and make your fantasy Draft choices based on the findings.<\/p>\n

1. New Orleans Saints \u2013 <\/strong> The Saints are that rare unit that can run block for a committee of running backs, keep their quarterback upright and open lanes for their undersized quarterback to throw the ball.<\/p>\n

\nLG Carl Nicks, 3rd Year
\nC Jonathan Goodwin, 9th Year
\nRG Jahri Evans, 5th Year
\nRT Jonathan Stinchcomb, 8th Year<\/p>\n

2. Tennessee Titans \u2013 <\/strong> Somehow the Titans only ranked 21st<\/sup> last season in run blocking! With Chris Johnson rumbling for 2000+ yards it is hard to believe. Strangely, the same unit ranked 3rd<\/sup> in pass blocking. I think that this unit is better than the numbers indicate and will be huge this season.<\/p>\n

\nLG Eugene Amano, 7th Year
\nC Leroy Harris, 4th Year
\nRG Jake Scott, 7th Year
\nRT David Stewart, 6th Year<\/p>\n

3. Baltimore Ravens \u2013 <\/strong> This unit was responsible for one of the most feared rushing games in the NFL last season. They were average in pass protection but some of that can be attributed to the struggles of Joe Flacco in the pocket.<\/p>\n

\nLG Ben Grubbs, 4th Year
\nC Matt Birk, 13th Year
\nRG Chris Chester, 5th Year
\nRT Jared Gaither, 4th Year<\/p>\n

4. New England Patriots \u2013 <\/strong>Too high? Consider that the Pats gave up the third fewest sacks last season and did an OK job with a rag tag bunch of rushers out of the backfield. The O-line is a strength and will only look better if Tom Brady is back to form this season.<\/p>\n

\nC Dan Koppen, 8th Year
\nRG Stephen Neal, 9th Year
\nRT Nick Kaczur, 6th Year<\/p>\n

5. New York Jets \u2013 <\/strong> The Jets had the best running game in the NFL last season. They also gave up the fewest sacks. They were one of the best all around units last season and there\u2019s no reason to think differently this year. The loss of Alan Faneca might hurt but it\u2019s not debilitating.<\/p>\n

\nLG Vlad Ducasse Rookie
\nC Nick Mangold, 5th Year
\nRG Brandon Moore, 8th Year
\nRT Damien Woody, 12th Year<\/p>\n

6. Indianapolis Colts \u2013 <\/strong> The best pass blockers in the game, the Indianapolis Offensive line may look better than they are. They are a cohesive unit whose running game has let them down in the past. Look for the running game to improve this season and Indy\u2019s offensive line to be in an elite category once again.<\/p>\n

\nLG Andy Alleman, 4th Year
\nC Jeff Saturday, 12th Year
\nRG Kyle DeVan, 2nd Year
\nRT Ryan Diem, 10th Year<\/p>\n

7. Dallas Cowboys \u2013 <\/strong> They are the biggest unit, by far, in the NFL who were responsible for the league\u2019s second best yards per carry last season. Flozell Adams is gone and Alex Barron is in. The Cowboys should win a lot of games this season, taking some of the pressure off the enormous line.<\/p>\n

\nLG Kyle Kosier, 9th Year
\nC Andre Gurode, 9th Year
\nRG Leonard Davis, 10th Year
\nRT Marc Colombo, 9th Year<\/p>\n

8. Miami Dolphins \u2013 <\/strong> the Fins Offensive line was great last year, allowing the team a league best 22 rushing touchdowns. A few key acquisitions on offense make this team better and the O-line will benefit big time.<\/p>\n

\nC Jake Grove, 7th Year
\nRG Nate Garner, 3rd Year

9. New York Giants \u2013<\/strong> This is a talented bunch that fell victim to injury last season. Pro Bowlers David Diehl, Chris Snee, and Shaun O’Hara are still there. If the O-line can stay healthy and the running backs can return to form, this is an elite squad once again. <\/p>\n

10. Minnesota Vikings \u2013 <\/strong> If the rankings were on run blocking alone, the Vikes would be at the top of the list. Last year\u2019s playoffs exposed the weak pass protection of Minnesota. If they can somehow improve against the pass rush, the Vikings are a Top 5 unit.<\/p>\n

The offensive line is more important to a great team than the great QB or the game breaking running back because without that solid quintet up front no player on offense can succeed consistently, even a kicker. Just because your league doesn\u2019t reward pancake blocks doesn\u2019t mean the big uglies don\u2019t count. Remember that FF guru’s, and you’ll win your league this year. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
