Romo had the third-most passing yards in the league last season (4,483), more than the totals posted by Brady, Brees, Rivers, Favre and Warner. Heady stuff. If Miles Austin can come anywhere near last season\u2019s production, the Cowboys could be scary good through the air.<\/p>\n Could<\/em><\/strong> is the operative word here, because Romo always seems to figure out a way to fudge things up, whether it\u2019s dropping the ball while holding for a gimmee field goal or throwing a couple of interceptions in the playoff loss in Minnesota last season. And fans can no longer blame Jessica Simpson for Romo\u2019s mess-ups.<\/p>\n There are more offensive weapons. Dallas has more depth at running back than any team in the league with Tashard Choice a viable option when (not if) Felix Jones and Marion Barber get hurt. And Romo has old buddy tight end Jason Witten as a safety valve.<\/p>\n With all the glamour at offense, it\u2019s easy to forget that Dallas gave up \u2013 by far \u2013 the fewest points in NFC West last season (250), even if things unraveled in the 34-3 Minnesota playoff loss. <\/p>\n The defense also has its share of playmakers. Nose tackle Jay Ratliff is flanked by ends Igor Olshansky and Marcus Spears. DeMarcus Ware needs no introduction, and you would have to search the NFC long and hard to find a better corner tandem than Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins.<\/p>\n THE WAY IT LOOKS NOW<\/strong> \u2013 Super Bowl, right? Not so fast. In the end they Cowboys could again fall victim to Jones\u2019s ego. Having a coach (Wade Philips) who will cede much of the limelight to the owner-general manager assures that Dallas will always have a fragile locker room with limited accountability. And don\u2019t underestimate the damage that can be done by hubris in and pressure applied by the owner. <\/p>\n This team will feel the Texas heat in every game.
