Third base was a particularly big hole; they had a .214 average from that position this year. So the Angels remedied the problem by acquiring the sturdy but unspectacular Alberto Callaspo from Kansas City for pitchers Sean O\u2019Sullivan and Will Smith.<\/p>\n Callaspo is batting .275 with eight homers and 43 RBI in 349 at-bats this year.<\/p>\n We already knew the St. Louis Cardinals were big-time suitors for Roy Oswalt.
