That\u2019s actually a very good thing, because the dogs that Mangini brought in were dead last in team offense last season and second-to-last in team defense. Mangini is free now to just coach, and while he is no Chuck Noll, he\u2019s better at that than he is at playing general manager.<\/p>\n If the Browns are starting over (again) with young players, they are doing it in a curious way. After trading away a No. 1 draft pick in 2007 to draft Brady Quinn, the Browns sent both Quinn and Derek Anderson packing this past offseason and brought in 35-year-old interception artist Jake Delhomme. <\/p>\n Since Quinn and Anderson had higher QB ratings than Delhomme did last season, you wonder exactly what the Browns have in mind.<\/p>\n Cleveland has few playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. Jerome Harrison takes over from Jamal Lewis as the featured back, Mohammed Massaquoi (34 catches in \u201909) is the top wideout, and underachieving tight end Ben Watson comes in from New England. Nose tackle Shaun Rogers was the team\u2019s best defensive player for a few years, but was hurt last season and the airport gun incident doesn\u2019t help. He could be replaced by Ahtyba Rubin. <\/p>\n The 3-4 front 7 is a decent group, but the secondary is atrocious. <\/p>\n The team\u2019s strength is it special teams, assuming returner Joshua Cribbs stays healthy.<\/p>\n THE WAY IT LOOKS NOW<\/strong> \u2013 Pretty much same old, same old.
