{"id":24031,"date":"2010-07-16T12:03:06","date_gmt":"2010-07-16T17:03:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.capperspicks.com\/blog\/?p=24031"},"modified":"2023-02-07T06:36:39","modified_gmt":"2023-02-07T14:36:39","slug":"2010-afc-conference-team-by-team-predictions-picks-160709","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/capperspicks.com\/blog\/nfl\/2010-afc-conference-team-by-team-predictions-picks-160709\/","title":{"rendered":"2010 AFC Conference Odds &#8211; Team Analysis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>2010 NFL Team by Team Overview- The AFC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the <a href=\"\/nfl\/\"><strong>2010 NFL<\/strong><\/a> regular season set to kick-off in a couple of months, it is time to take a look at each team\u2019s current odds to win their conference as we begin to put the pieces together to try and figure out which two teams will meet next February in Super Bowl XLV. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"\/lines\/nfl\/\"><strong>nfl lines<\/strong><\/a> makers have instilled the usual suspects to win it all again this season.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for them there are 28 or so other teams that will have something to say about this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/handicappers\/\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO GET YOUR NFL EXPERT PICKS &#038; WEEKLY SELECTIONS &#8212;&#8211;><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The following is a rundown of all 16 teams in the AFC along with their current odds to win Super Bowl XLV as provided by Bodog.com.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Team by Team Keys to a Successful Season<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Baltimore Ravens\u00a0\u00a0 12\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the trade for WR Anquan Boldin along with a strong draft that added some much needed depth to the defense, the Ravens are in a great position to win it all. The key will be the play QB Joe Flacco.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Buffalo Bills\u00a0\u00a0 100\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With RB\u2019s C.J. Spiller and possibly Marshawn Lynch in the backfield, Buffalo will be able to run the ball but that is about it. They did little else this offseason to improve an offense that was ranked 30<sup>th<\/sup> in the league last season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cincinnati Bengals\u00a0\u00a0 30\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After winning the division last season, the pressure will be on Cincinnati to repeat that feat again this season. It is hard to believe they will be able to go 6-0 in the North again this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleveland Browns\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 80\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mike Holmgren is now calling the shots in Cleveland and has already made his presence felt through some of his offseason moves. This is a team to watch next season as they are still a year away from turning the corner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Denver Broncos\u00a0\u00a0 50\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The big question for Denver is what team will show up this season; the one that went 6-0 to start the 2009 season or the one that went 2-8 to finish it? Expect a bit of both in 2010. <iframe allowtransparency='true' src='http:\/\/ff.connextra.com\/Bodog\/selector\/client?client=Bodog&#038;placement=Ext_RS_Sports_250x250&#038;cxt_aff_id=151627&#038;tclk=http:\/\/www.bodog.eu\/welcome\/151627\/' class=\"alignleft\" style=\"margin: 1px; border: 3px solid #FFFFFF;\" width='250' height='250' scrolling='no' frameborder='0' style='border-width:0'><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Houston Texans\u00a0\u00a0 25\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Is this the season that Houston finally gets over the hump and makes the playoffs? They have the talent but developing consistency from week to week will be determine if they take the next step.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Indianapolis Colts\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 9\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As long as QB Peyton Manning remains at the helm this team will win enough games to put them self in position to win it all. All their questions will need to be answered in the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jacksonville Jaguars\u00a0\u00a0 70\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2010 season could be the Swan song for head coach Jack Del Rio as after a questionable draft and doing little else to try and improve upon last year\u2019s 7-9 record, this team appears to be headed in the wrong direction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 90\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Second year head coach Todd Haley has this team headed in the right direction as their defense should be much improved under new coordinator Romeo Crennel. Unfortunately you cannot say the same thing about their offense.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miami Dolphins\u00a0\u00a0 30\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a pivotal year for Miami as another slow start could send them in a complete tailspin in the very competitive East. The pressure will be on QB Chad Henne to keep things moving forward.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New England Patriots\u00a0\u00a0 12\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With QB Tom Brady two years removed from major knee surgery and WR Wes Welker expected back in the lineup, New England\u2019s offense will once again be one of the best in the league. It is too early to say how their defense will hold up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New York Jets\u00a0\u00a0 10\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With all the Super Bowl talk coming out of New York, the pressure is building to back it all up. A disgruntled Darrelle Revis, who is caught up in a contract dispute, certainly does not help.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oakland Raiders\u00a0\u00a0 80\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a solid offseason of personnel moves including the addition of QB Jason Campbell, Oakland could finally be in a position to turn in their first winning season since 2002.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pittsburgh Steelers\u00a0\u00a0 20\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Team turmoil will have to find a way to deal with the absence of QB Ben Roethlisberger for the first four to six games because of his suspension. The trickier part could be dealing with him when he returns.<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Diego Chargers\u00a0\u00a0 11\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>San Diego is a prohibitive favorite to once again to win their division, but with All Pro WR Vincent Jackson suspended for three games and threatening to hold out even longer, their Super Bowl plans could be derailed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tennessee Titans\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 28\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to have a chance, Tennessee needs to get RB Chris Johnson a new contract otherwise they are poised for another slow start in 2010 as QB Vince Young will not be able to do it all on his own.<\/p>\n<h3>LOOKING FOR A GREAT ONLINE SPORTSBOOK??
