With the All-Star break this week, the 2010 MLB season has reached the halfway point with some of the tightest division races we have seen in years. It\u2019s time to NOW bring you our division-by-division betting future picks & our 2010 season\u00a0MLB baseball betting<\/strong><\/a> predictions for the year. <\/p>\n

The largest lead in any division is just 4 \u00bd games with four out of six leads being two games or less.<\/p>\n

The following is a brief review of each division along with my pick of which team ends up on top at the end of the season along with their current odds from Bodog.com for them to win it all.<\/p>\n

NL East<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In a bit of a surprise the Atlanta Braves (52-36) have played their way to the top of the East and lead the Mets (48-40) by four games and the Phillies (47-40) by 4 \u00bd. Despite how well the Braves have looked so far, this is still Philadelphia\u2019s division to win or lose. As they get healthy down the stretch look for the Phils to regain the top spot and hold off Atlanta and New York for their fourth straight East title.<\/p>\n

My Pick- Philadelphia (12\/1)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wild Card- Atlanta (8\/1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

NL Central<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This division is basically a two team race between Cincinnati (49-41) and St. Louis (47-41). Right now the Reds are clinging to a one game lead as both teams have spent time at the top at various times this season. Cincinnati\u2019s bats have been the big story so far but St. Louis is still the better all around team. Look for the Cardinals to create some separation down the stretch to once again win the Central. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

My Pick- St. Louis (11\/1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

NL West<\/strong><\/h3>\n

San Diego\u2019s\u00a0(51-37) superb pitching staff has carried this team to a surprising two game lead over Colorado (49-39) and Los Angeles (49-39) in the West. The main problem with the Padres is they do not have the necessary offense to support this effort for an entire season. Out of all the teams in this division, San Francisco (47-41) is actually the most balanced and should emerge on top by season\u2019s end.<\/p>\n

My Pick- San Francisco (30\/1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

2010 NL Champion- Philadelphia<\/strong><\/p>\n

AL East<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In easily the most competitive division in baseball, New York (56-32) continues to hold the top spot by two games over Tampa (54-34) and five over Boston (51-37). The Yankees appear to have things set on cruise control as they rarely lose a series and continue pitch and hit at a high level. This race will drag deep into the early fall, but the current order will remain the same.<\/p>\n

My Pick- New York (3\/1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wild Card- Tampa Bay (15\/2)<\/strong><\/p>\n

AL Central<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A month ago the Chicago White (49-38) Sox were 9 \u00bd games out of first and planning a fire sale of some high priced talent. Thirty days later after winning 25 of their last 30 games they find themselves on top of the Central with a \u00bd game lead over Detroit (48-38). The Tigers as well as Minnesota (46-42) have been steady all season long so this should be a great battle right to the end. Detroit still has the best overall lineup out of the three so I am giving them the nod to come out on top.<\/p>\n

My Pick-Detroit (25\/1)<\/strong><\/p>\n

AL West<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Texas (50-38) has been able to create some separation in the West, opening up a 4 \u00bd game lead over Los Angeles (47-44) at the midway point. The acquisition of P Cliff Lee from Seattle right before the All-Star break should be enough for them to maintain control of the West and come away with the division title.<\/p>\n

My Pick- Texas (15\/2)<\/strong><\/p>\n

2010 AL Champion- New York<\/strong><\/p>\n
