It\u2019s been an extremely disappointing season for the Mariners, who said goodbye to their all-time greatest player yesterday.<\/p>\n

His walks have trended way up again (28 in 72 innings) and poor run support has left him with just two wins in 11 starts this year. He\u2019s also dominant against Minnesota in his career, sporting a 2.77 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over nine starts. Minnesota did well to dust Carl Pavano off the scrap heap. He\u2019ll start for the Twinkies tonight and been a great innings eater for them this season, posting eight quality starts in 10 tries and walking just nine guys in 65.1 innings. Given that Seattle has no player with more than six homers or 25 RBI this season, we should see another strong effort from Pavano.<\/p>\n King Felix should keep Minnesota in check tonight but I\u2019m not convinced he\u2019ll get any run support.
