Group E should be one of the more interesting draws in the group stage. Holland seems to have the upper hand on the field but second place really seems to be up for grabs between Cameroon, Denmark and Japan. <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s break it down.<\/p>\n

CAMEROON (+8000 to win World Cup)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is Cameroon on the verge of returning to glory? Its supporters may have you believe that. After all, Samuel Eto\u2019o is arguably the best player they\u2019ve ever had. However, as Cameroon\u2019s disappointing showing at the Africa Cup of Nations suggests, sometimes depth is worth more than one great player. That could be Cameroon\u2019s downfall.<\/p>\n

DENMARK (+12500 to win World Cup)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Danes look like the trendy sleeper in Group E. Back after sitting out the last couple of World Cups, they made major waves in qualifying, knocking off Portugal and its Scandinavian rival Sweden. The three-goal effort against Portugal, not to mention Soren Larsen\u2019s five qualifier goals, make me a believer in Denmark\u2019s scoring. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

THE NETHERLANDS (HOLLAND) (+1200 to win World Cup)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Look out. The Netherlands are extremely excited for the 2010 World Cup and have very good reason to be. The Dutch absolutely demolished the competition in qualifying, winning all eight of their games and outscoring opponents 17-2.<\/p>\n

Holland has plenty of talent with the likes of Rafael van der Vaart and Arjen Robben on board, so it should make a deep run in the tournament. The only question mark could be offense in crunch time, as longtime go-to scorer Ruud van Nistelrooy has hanged up his cleats.<\/p>\n

JAPAN (+27500 to win World Cup)<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s nice to see Japan qualify but we shouldn\u2019t expect them to do much even at the group stage, which they\u2019ve only survived once. Sure, they play a nice technical system and pass the ball well, but they just don\u2019t have the elite talent of their peers in Group E. I just can\u2019t see how they\u2019ll best Holland or Denmark.<\/p>\n

THE PICKS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Upon closer inspection, this group may not be as close as expected. Holland looks like a lock and I believe Denmark can outclass Cameroon for the second spot.<\/p>\n
