The Italians are a veteran side that will have their trademark defense and flashy attackers. Italy did not look all that good at Euro 2008 but look for a better effort in the World Cup. Paraguay qualified third in the South American zone ahead of Argentina and just behind Brazil. They have some quality returning players \u2013\u00a0Nelson Valdez and Roque Santa Cruz. This is a tough side that has proven worthy of a Round of 16 appearance. Second place in the group.<\/p>\n

Paraguay has the benefit of a weakish group and should emerge as the second team that moves on. A Round of 16 matchup with Holland looms \u2013 ugh!<\/p>\n

Slovakia \u2013 Odds To Win World Cup: +20000<\/strong><\/p>\n

This will be Slovakia\u2019s first World Cup as a nation and a competitive qualification schedule with Slovenia, Czechoslovakia and Poland has prepared them well for the Big Stage. There are a couple of recognizable players on the squad and Marek Hamsik who is ready for World stardom. They will push Paraguay but ultimately finish third in the Group.<\/p>\n

Slovakia World Cup Predictions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Slovakia is one of those sneaky teams that could surprise and advance to the Round of 16. I think third in the Group is where they will finish with second certainly not out of the question.<\/p>\n

New Zealand \u2013 Odds To Win World Cup: +100000<\/strong><\/p>\n

We really cannot expect much at all from the All Whites. Their best players are not playing all that well for their club sides \u2013\u00a0Rory Fallon has only five goals all season in the premiership. New Zealand is simply outclassed in this tournament and will be looking to be competitive in their three tournament games. Wins are hardly possible.<\/p>\n

New Zealand World Cup Predictions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

New Zealand is destined for a fourth place finish in the Group. A draw would be a stunning result for them but don\u2019t count on it.<\/p>\n

This Group belongs to the Italians but depending on how they gel and how their age affects the team, they could be pushed hard by Paraguay and Slovakia.<\/p>\n
