Some other factors to consider:<\/strong> The pace of the games – With just about every possession running through James, the Cavaliers prefer to walk the ball up the court rather than pushing the tempo and letting other players make decisions at warp speed. Problem is, the Celtics play their best defense when allowed to settle in and then swarm and forced jump shots when the shot clock reaches single digits. <\/p>\n The Celtics are healthy:<\/strong> Old, yes, but as healthy as they have been all year and about as healthy as they are going to get. Kevin Garnett is still not at his full explosive self after experiencing knee problems for two straight seasons, but chances are he never again will be the Garnett of 2008. Paul Pierce has to score because starters Kendrick Perkins and Rajon Rondo are offensive liabilities.<\/p>\n Cavalier bigs could cause Boston serious problems:<\/strong> Shaq will keep Perkins occupied enough to prevent double-teams, but the real concern for Boston is Anderson Varajao. The Celtics have problems with active bigs, and Varajao never stops moving. Cleveland also gives big minutes to Zdrunas Ilgauskas and Antawn Jamison, while Boston can counter only with Glen Davis and the lazy Rasheed Wallace.<\/p>\n Celtics vs. Cavs Prediction: Cavs in 6<\/strong><\/p>\n The series prices have yet to be determined as books wait for word on James\u2019s ailing elbow. (Bookmaker.com<\/strong><\/a> has released odds) But Cleveland remains a prohibitive 1-2 favorite to win the Eastern Conference while Boston is at 17-2. Bettors should take a hard look at the under in the first two games, in Cleveland, if the O\/U is set in the 180+ range. <\/p>\n These first two games of the 2008 series in Boston both went under.
