After two weeks, it appeared the New York Mets were destined to wallow in the basement of the National League East. But maybe something changed when they won the 20-inning war with the St. Louis Cardinals last Saturday. Since then, they\u2019re showing signs of life. <\/p>\n

He\u2019s just 2-5 with a 6.05 ERA against Atlanta in his career. <\/p>\n Brian McCann seriously has his number, batting .444 off him with a homer and seven RBI in 27 at-bats. It\u2019s possible, then, that the Braves could be the team to end Pelfrey\u2019s honeymoon. <\/p>\n Another reason why the Mets are a shaky play this Sunday night: Mr. Tommy Hanson. The Braves\u2019 ace hasn\u2019t found his control yet but his stuff is plenty electric; he\u2019s whiffed 18 batters in 16 innings so far this year. <\/p>\n He\u2019s faced the Mets once in his short-but-sweet career and answered the bell with seven scoreless innings and eight strikeouts. <\/p>\n The Braves bats overall have disappointed, so they may not absolutely rout Pelfrey.
