Phoenix was dominating before the postseason, having won 14 of its last 16 games. The weekend lost to a Brandon Roy-less Blazers team was obviously a letdown, but the Suns remain quite solid against the spread\u2014Phoenix is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 games on NBA odds. <\/p>\n
The Suns are a hair better at home, too, with a 7-2-1 ATS run at US Airways Center. <\/p>\n
Steve Nash did everything he could for Phoenix, racking up team-highs of 25 points and nine assists. The Suns were hurt by the efforts of Amare Stoudemire; the forward played excellent down the regular season stretch, but he managed just 18 points against the Blazers. More is needed\u2014and expected\u2014from Stoudemire moving forward. <\/p>\n
Grant Hill was a surprising non-factor. He shot just 2-9 en route to a four-point evening after averaging 11.3 points per game during the regular season. <\/p>\n
