The bad-boy Pittsburgh Steelers continue to make headlines \u2013 so much that one of them isn\u2019t even a Pittsburgh Steeler anymore as of last night. I\u2019ll explain more to lead off the week\u2019s news.<\/p>\n

Ouch.<\/p>\n To acquire only a fifth rounder for a stud offensive player entering his prime shows just how fed-up Pittsburgh was with Holmes\u2019 (alleged?) off-field antics. From the substance abuse rumors to the accusations of assaulting a woman in a bar, the Steelers had enough with Holmes tarnishing the team\u2019s rep. Now, the question is, how much more will they put up with from Ben Roethlisberger before they hand him his walking papers in the middle of the night?<\/p>\n MLB news: Bonds \u201cproud\u201d of McGwire<\/strong><\/p>\n Ever have one of those friends who does things to \u201chelp\u201d you but really ends up hurting you? Barry Bonds telling the media he\u2019s proud of Mark McGwire for admitting to steroid use and returning to baseball is like…O.J. Simpson saying he\u2019s proud of Rae Carruth for confessing to a murder.<\/p>\n Sure, Bonds hasn\u2019t been convicted of anything. But….come on.<\/p>\n NHL news: Stamkos cleans up in goal-scoring race; Lightning clean house<\/strong><\/p>\n Leave it to the Tampa Bay Lightning to waste no time sucking the life out of a nice moment in an otherwise fruitless season. Less than 24 hours after their stellar sophomore, Steven Stamkos, scored his 51st<\/sup> goal to clinch a share of the Rocket Richard Trophy, the Lightning decided to clean house.<\/p>\n Tampa axed head coach Rick Tocchet and general manager Brian Lawton. Hopefully Tocchet at least took the action his own firing at the sportsbook. <\/strong><\/span> MMA news: Edgar shocks sportsbooks with upset title victory; Silva makes a mockery of UFC 112<\/strong><\/p>\n It was already lined up to be a \u201cdifferent\u201d night for the UFC, with Saturday\u2019s UFC 112 taking place outdoors in Abu Dhabi. But few bettors or pundits expected what went down.<\/p>\n First off, there was one of the biggest upsets in a title fight since, arguably, Matt Serra\u2019s victory over Georges St-Pierre. Frankie \u201cThe Answer\u201d Edgar used unpredictable movement, a relentless motor and speedy boxing to run circles around an exhausted BJ Penn and capture the UFC lightweight title as a +500 underdog.<\/p>\n The other title fight was a joke. After two rounds of teasing and hot-dogging against overmatched challenger Demian Maia, Anderson Silva essentially quit his middleweight title match, barely throwing a single punch for the last three rounds. The crowd turned on him and UFC commissioner Dana White stormed out of the fight \u2013 but not before hurling the title belt at Silva\u2019s manager, Ed Soares. White couldn\u2019t even stand to be present for the belt presentation (Silva still won).
