I hate sounding like a broken record but these teams also on different paths as the season closes out.\u00a0 Not much was expected from A&M but they have had a nice season and look to be a lock for the Tournament.\u00a0 For the Sooners, Willie Warren and the freshman class have been a huge disappointment.\u00a0 There are no Griffin brothers around to prop this team up.<\/p>\n

There is nothing fancy about A&M.\u00a0 They play everybody tough and have no bad losses on the season.\u00a0 Donald Sloan is having a great senior season, capping a career which has gotten better every year.\u00a0 He is the kind of do everything guard’s that every team wants and can make a team dangerous in the postseason.\u00a0 \"SportsThey have trouble beating the elite teams because after Sloan they are a little thin.\u00a0 Bulky power forward Bryan Davis has regressed this year and its not like he was in the top tier of forwards to begin with.\u00a0 At least he is willing to bang with the other bigs in the Big 12 because the Aggies don’t have much other size.<\/p>\n

This has been a big time season to forget for Oklahoma.\u00a0 Losing a player of the year is tough but they were supposed to have another POY candidate to replace him.\u00a0 That player, Willie Warren, has been a huge disappointment on a team full of them.\u00a0 He is out for the season with an ankle injury now but his production was way below expectations even before then.<\/p>\n

Fab Frosh Tommy Mason-Griffin and Tiny Gallon have a lot of promise but their inconsistency is obvious.\u00a0 Gallon has been suspended for season in mid February and the Sooners haven’t won since.\u00a0 Maybe next year this team will rebound and challenge in a Big 12 that was better than expected this year.\u00a0 Maybe…If everybody gets their act together.<\/p>\n
