It\u2019s gut-check time for Kansas State, the upstart fifth-ranked team that\u2019s arguably playing the biggest game in its history tonight. Does it have a chance to dethrone the powerhouse Jayhawks, who are nine-point favorites tonight?<\/p>\n

It certainly won\u2019t be easy considering that the Wildcats couldn\u2019t handle the Jayhawks at home on January 30, losing an 81-79 overtime squeaker. It especially won\u2019t be easy considering Kansas has the country\u2019s longest home winning streak, currently at 58 games and counting.<\/p>\n

Kansas State has at least regained momentum since losing to the Wildcats, winning seven straight games. But will it have an answer for Sherron Collins and the nation\u2019s No. 4 offense? Straight up, I don\u2019t think so. Kansas is virtually unstoppable at home. Against the spread, however, Kansas State has a real chance. The Wildcats are an outstanding 16-6-1 ATS this season. On the flipside, sportsbooks have overestimated Kansas; the Jayhawks keep winning but they\u2019ve lost eight of their last nine against the spread.<\/p>\n
