It\u2019s true that Mickelson has a great track record, winning this tourney three times, but your money is much better spent elsewhere. He hasn\u2019t broken 71 in his last six rounds of the course rotation here and he offers little bang for your buck.<\/p>\n Retief Goosen<\/strong><\/p>\n Pebble Beach odds: +1615<\/p>\n Last year\u2019s third-place finish was his first time playing here. He\u2019s certainly dialled in, with eight top-10s in his last nine outings. If you like the safe play, Goosen makes way more sense than Mickelson \u2013 especially since he gives you double the value.<\/p>\n Dustin Johnson<\/strong><\/p>\n Pebble Beach odds: +1850<\/p>\n The numbers certainly favor Johnson. Not only is he the defending champ, he averaged the longest distance last year and hit the second most greens in regulation. He finished third at Riviera, too. He\u2019s hot and has history on his side.<\/p>\n Mike Weir<\/strong><\/p>\n Pebble Beach odds: +1850<\/p>\n It\u2019s strange; this tourney often rewards big hitters but the diminutive Weir has a strong track record too. He has five top-fives in his last seven starts. Weir hasn\u2019t broken through and won for a while but he\u2019s consistently very close; he finished second last year. Don\u2019t forget about him. Luke Donald<\/strong><\/p>\n Pebble Beach odds: +2250<\/p>\n Donald should attract bettors\u2019 interest because he has similar momentum to the names above but offers better sportsbook value. He\u2019s fresh off a second-place finished at the Northern Trust Open and has three top-20 finishes in five Pebble Beach Pro-Ams. Not an absolutely sparkling track record but Donald is playing well right now.<\/p>\n Brandt Snedeker<\/strong><\/p>\n Pebble Beach odds: +4050<\/p>\n You\u2019re really going off the board if you pick Snedeker, as he doesn\u2019t have a successful past at Pebble Beach. But the question is whether or not 2010\u2019s Brandt Snedeker is the same guy. He\u2019s broken personal bests in all his starts so far and leads the Tour in scrambling.<\/p>\n I see a tooth-and-nail battle between Dustin Johnson and Mike Weir on the horizon \u2013 for the second straight year. Johnson has the length advantage but maybe Weir is due.
