Has there been a bigger turnaround from game to game than Georgetown. \u00a0Last Saturday they embarrassed Duke on their home court. \u00a0And what did they do for an encore, they lost to South Florida on the same court by eight. \u00a0Not exactly the kind of performance you want to have in your recent memory when the number two team in the nation is coming to town. \u00a0Villanova beat Georgetown last month in Philly and a season sweep will go a long way to securing a number one seed. \u00a0The Wildcats are currently riding an 11 game win streak and their backcourt is producing big time led by Scottie Reynolds. \u00a0Look out though because Corey Stokes is coming to life.<\/p>\n

I’m sure the Wildcats have been looking at tape of Dominique Jones of USF while thinking our guards are better than he is.\u00a0 All Jones did was strike for 29 points as a one man wrecking crew so Reynolds, Stokes and Corey Fisher must be licking their lips.\u00a0 Villanova is so strong in the backcourt that they can bout out skill you and wear you down.\u00a0 Georgetown is very solid at guard but doesn’t have the depth so I think the ‘Cats will try and push tempo even more than usual.\u00a0 They want the game to have a great flow and play in the 80’s.\"Sports\u00a0 If they can do that they could run the Hoyas right out of their own gym.<\/p>\n

For the Hoyas to have a chance they need three things to happen.\u00a0 1) They have to establish Greg Monroe and make sure he is not in foul trouble – he scored 29 in the previous match and it wasn’t enough.\u00a0 2) Austin Freeman has to have an efficient game – 8\/15 for 22 point in the previous contest.\u00a0 3) Chris Right has to play his best game of the year – he was 1-7 with four fouls.\u00a0 If those three things happen then they have a chance.\u00a0 The Hoyas may be favoured at home but in my mind they are the underdog.<\/p>\n
