Somehow, Alex Ovechkin has \u201cquietly\u201d staked out his highest-ever point-per-game pace; he tallies more points at home but he has more road goals, notching 18 in 24 games. \"SportsHe scored a pair in his only other battle with Boston this season \u2013 a 4-1 road victory.<\/p>\n

As much as Toronto Maple Leaf fans scrutinize Brian Burke for trading away two first-round picks, Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli is taking heat for trading away Phil Kessel. It\u2019s usually not a good thing for a first-place team (which the Bruins were) to deal its leading goal scorer (which Kessel) was for futures when the team is on the cusp of contention. Now, the Bruins simply can\u2019t score. In fact, they\u2019re the lowest-scoring team in hockey this season after tallying the third most goals last season. I just don\u2019t see them scoring enough to keep pace with Washington tonight.<\/p>\n
