The Mountaineers have a rare double dip outside the Big East in the middle of the season. They escaped against in state rival Marshall and now have to tangle with a smoking hot Ohio State team led by Evan Turner. The Buckeyes have lost only once since he returned to the lineup and he has been spectacular. The Mountaineers have some star players too and this should be an entertaining battle.<\/p>\n

Ohio State would probably be ranked much higher if they hadn’t lost Turner for a stretch. \u00a0Since he has been back in the lineup he has carried the team and stuffed the staff sheet. \u00a0Right now I think he has been the most impressive player I have seen. \u00a0I still can’t get over the way he brought OSU back against Purdue.\"Sports The Ohio State system relies on Turner to draw a lot of attention and create space for Diebler and Buford. \u00a0Their consistency will be what determines whether OSU is a very good team or a team with a superlative player. \u00a0They are very athletic and even though they do not have a true center they have size at the guard positions that get after the boards.<\/p>\n

I have not been very impressed with West Virginia this year. \u00a0I watched the bulk of their losses to Purdue and Syracuse and even though the latter was close I never saw the kind of run that makes you think this team could be really good. \u00a0The combination of Banks and Butler is still a very good one but Butler’s numbers are down this year and Banks hasn’t exploded like expected. \u00a0After those two this team is very ordinary by Big East standards. \u00a0Kevin Jones has been a nice bright spot, his production has doubled and gives the Mountaineers a bruising presence up front. \u00a0He could have a nice battle with the Buckeyes Dallas Lauderdale. \u00a0They are similar in size and style.<\/p>\n
