Though they\u2019ve lost three of four, they have road wins over Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Jose this month. They\u2019re getting healthier and they seem to elevate their play for big games. A major bright spot has been Jimmy Howard, who has a goals against average under 2.00 and save percentage above .935 over the last two months.

\nBut do the Wings have a chance against the powerhouse Caps, who are 16-3-3 at home? I\u2019ll say yes. Washington has won six of seven but just one of those victories came against a team currently in a playoff spot. The Caps are preying on the weak (Montreal, Florida, Atlanta, Toronto) and could get caught off guard tonight. I\u2019d take a flier on Detroit.<\/p>\n
