Uh-oh. It happens several times a year and it\u2019s happening right now. The Sharks are on one of those unstoppable runs, having won eight straight games. With a deadly power play, the league\u2019s leading scorer in Joe Thornton, two possible 50-goal scorers in Dany Heatley and Patrick Marleau, not to mention outstanding penalty killing and goaltending, the Sharks are the perfect team (in the regular season). The Kings do their damage thanks to depth and extremely balanced scoring; nine of their players have eight or more goals this season. They\u2019re 2-0-1 against San Jose and have proven that the big boys don\u2019t scare them anymore. I don\u2019t like their chances tonight, however. First off, as tempting as an upset pick over the Sharks is, chances are they\u2019ll keep winning; the streak has to end at some point but that\u2019s unlikely to happen on home ice. Secondly, after tonight\u2019s road game, the Kings head back to Staples Center for a cushy six-game home stand that includes two matchups against San Jose. I have a feeling they\u2019ll get caught feeling homesick and looking ahead to their fun schedule. Bet on the sharper, hotter Sharks.<\/p>\n
