Watchlist Q & A – Week 17<\/h2>\n

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds<\/strong><\/a>, a who\u2019s hot, and who\u2019s not report plus more in our fantasy football<\/strong><\/a> guide.<\/p>\n

Week 17 – kind of an odd week wouldn\u2019t you say.\u00a0 I mean, a lot of good players are not going to see the field this weekend.<\/p>\n

There are still plenty of things to keep your eye on this in Week 17 of the NFL.<\/p>\n

Here is what I will be watching explained in Dave B\u2019s Week 17 Watchlist Q & A.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Which teams are going to rest their players, and who\u2019s playing all-out?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

AFC<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Colts:<\/strong> The Colts starters might last a quarter – that\u2019s it!!!<\/p>\n

Chargers<\/strong>: Not exactly sure what will play out here.\u00a0 Chances are that the starters could be pulled at some time in this game.<\/p>\n

Patriots:<\/strong> Nothing is official, but I for one can\u2019t see Belichek resting his guys.\u00a0 I think that the Patriots will play to win this weekend.<\/p>\n

Bengals:<\/strong> All signs point to the Bengals resting their guys.\u00a0 I hope that you don\u2019t have this game set to record!!!<\/p>\n

NFC<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Saints:<\/strong> Sean Payton has given no reason for us to think that he\u2019s resting his players.\u00a0 It should be a much needed tune-up for the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Vikings:<\/strong> Need a win to secure a bye.\u00a0 They also need a tune-up<\/p>\n

Eagles\/Cowboys:<\/strong> Winner of this contest wins the NFC East – big game – should be good.<\/p>\n

Packers\/Cardinals:<\/strong> For the Cardinals, it all depends on whether Minnesota wins or loses.\u00a0 If Minnesota loses, the Cards will have to beat the Packers to finish ahead of Minnesota.\u00a0 If Minnesota wins, it all moot, and Warner and the boys will rest\u00a0 – Got it????\u00a0 Me neither.<\/p>\n

As for the Packers, all signs point to the starters sitting out a lot of the game.<\/p>\n

2. Will the 2 \u201cwin and your in\u201d teams win this weekend?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

New York Jets (8-7)<\/strong> – If The Playoffs Started Today: In; No. 6 seed (wins tiebreaker over Baltimore based on strength of victory and conference record over Houston)<\/p>\n

Remaining Schedule: vs. Cincinnati\u00a0 – If the Jets win this game and they are the 5 seed.\u00a0 The math has been done – I have no idea.\u00a0 Cincinnati figures to rest most of their starters in that game.\u00a0 You do the math!!!<\/p>\n

Baltimore Ravens (8-7)<\/strong> – If The Playoffs Started Today: Out<\/p>\n

Remaining Schedule: at Oakland – The Ravens are in the same boat as the Jets — win, in; lose, out.\u00a0 When they win (common sense says so), they will be the No. 6 seed – in the playoffs.<\/p>\n

3. Will there be any \u201cbubble teams\u201d\u00a0that sneak into the playoffs?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Denver Broncos (8-7)<\/strong> – If The Playoffs Started Today: In; No. 5 seed (wins tiebreaker over N.Y. Jets and Baltimore based on strength of victory and conference record over Houston) \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Remaining Schedule: vs. Kansas City – The Broncos win this game and their 9-7.\u00a0 There are a slough of ways that the Broncos can make it.\u00a0 They need some help – too complicated for me to discuss.\u00a0 Their position is moot if the Jets and Ravens win.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Steelers (8-7)<\/strong> – Remaining Schedule: at Miami – They need to win and need a crazy voodoo mix of other teams to lose in order to get in.\u00a0 It looks dire.<\/p>\n

Houston Texans – (8-7)<\/strong> – Remaining Schedule: vs. New England – Another unlikely combination of losses is needed for the Texans to get in.<\/p>\n

Miami Dolphins –\u00a0 (7-8)<\/strong> – Remaining Schedule: vs. Pittsburgh – First of all, they have to beat the Steelers.\u00a0 Second of all, they need too many teams to lose in order to have a shot.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville Jaguars –\u00a0 (7-8)<\/strong> – Remaining Schedule: at Cleveland – Never mind!!!<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Which incredible milestones will be reached this weekend?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Chris Johnson – Tennessee<\/strong> – Johnson needs 128 yards rushing to get to the 2000 yard mark!!!\u00a0 What\u2019s more incredible is that if Johnson gets his 128 yards and also gets 17 yards receiving, he\u2019s have 2500 yards combined yards!!!\u00a0 That breaks Marshall Faulk\u2019s NFL record.\u00a0 He plays Seattle this week – it will be the Chris Johnson show!!<\/p>\n

Ray Rice – Baltimore<\/strong> – Rice needs 48 combined yards to reach 2000 combined yards on the year.\u00a0 The dude has 683 receiving yards!!!!\u00a0 Unreal.<\/p>\n

Wes Welker – New England<\/strong> – Needs just 3 catches for 125 receptions on the year.\u00a0 He\u2019s 20-25 catches ahead of the next highest.\u00a0 Good job Wes!!!!<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what I\u2019ll be watching for in Week 17.\u00a0 Sorry about not talking about the NFL Playoff race – my head is spinning.\u00a0\u00a0 Enjoy<\/p>\n
