HOT AND NOT WEEK 17<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players<\/strong> for the week should help you out if they\u2019re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football<\/strong><\/a> always favors the prepared mind.<\/p>\n

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.<\/p>\n

Interesting week Huh?\u00a0 The rich get richer and the poor get poorer – that\u2019s how we will end this decade of the NFL.<\/p>\n

Week 17 will see a lot of starters being rested, making the HOT list a tad difficult.\u00a0 The Colts, Saints and Chargers have nothing to play for – Hey!!\u00a0\u00a0 It\u2019s not my fault.<\/p>\n

As always, the Hot and Not list is a compilation of trends, stats, and upcoming matchups.\u00a0 I hope you enjoy Dave B\u2019s Week 16 edition of the HOT and NOT list.<\/p>\n

HOT<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Tony Romo – Dallas<\/strong> – The December woes for the Cowboys have turned around – thanks to a Red HOT Tony Romo.\u00a0 In December, Romo has averaged almost 310 yards passing, and has thrown 7 touchdowns.\u00a0 Romo is playing well and has the Cowboys looking like a team that could surprise in the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Philip Rivers – San Diego<\/strong> – Rivers finds heat in December like no other player in history.\u00a0 He has an amazing win streak in the month over the past 5 years and has his team on a 10 game winning streak.\u00a0 He\u2019s throwing for yardage, scores and accuracy.\u00a0 The dude is simply on fire.<\/p>\n

Donovan McNabb – Philadelphia<\/strong> – McNabb is a guy that can look bad at time, but always ends up producing.\u00a0 He\u2019s been solid all year and he took it up a notch in Week 16 with a 322 yard, 3 td. effort against the Broncos.\u00a0 What is underestimated is McNabb\u2019s ability to run for a key 1st<\/sup> down.\u00a0 Donovan is HOT – Look out NFC!!<\/p>\n

Jerome Harrison – Cleveland<\/strong> – I thought Week 15 was a fluke – I was wrong.148 yards and a score to follow up a 286 yard, 3 td. performance – <\/strong>ya he\u2019s HOT.<\/p>\n

Jamaal Charles – Kansas City<\/strong> – Charles is playing like a man on a mission and is carrying an otherwise brutal Offense.\u00a0 He\u2019s rushed for over 100 yards in the last 3 and is bailing his team out with key 3rd<\/sup> down catches.\u00a0 Charles is indeed in charge!<\/p>\n

Jonathan Stewart – Carolina<\/strong> – To say that he\u2019s filled in admirable for injured DeAngelo Williams <\/strong>would be an understatement.\u00a0 206 yards last week and now he faces a suddenly vulnerable New Orleans Defense.<\/p>\n

Ryan Grant – Green Bay<\/strong> – Grant has one bad game sandwiched between 2 great ones.\u00a0 Grant has scored 5 touchdowns in his last 3 games and is looking more like an integral piece to an amazing Offense.\u00a0 Grant is heating up for what the Packers hop is a long playoff run.<\/p>\n

Chris Johnson – Tennessee<\/strong> – Johnson is only 128 yards away from 2000 on the season.\u00a0 He\u2019s been the Man in Tennessee and his Offensive Line will play their asses off to see their Man get to 2000.\u00a0 I feel sorry for Seattle.<\/p>\n

Wes Welker – New England<\/strong> – Amazingly, Welker has not scored since Week 7!!!\u00a0 Yet he leads the league in catches by a mile.\u00a0 If he scored the occasional touchdown, he\u2019d be a Fantasy Beast, but for now Welker is simply HOT.<\/p>\n

Andre Johnson – Houston<\/strong> – I can\u2019t say enough about this guy.\u00a0 He\u2019s scored 4 touchdown in his last 3 games and has averaged 140 yards Receiving in those games.\u00a0 His HOT play has the Texans in a playoff hunt – somehow!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Steve Smith – Carolina<\/strong> – This is more of a shout out to Steve for almost making it through a season with the worst passing game by any team that I can remember.\u00a0 Nearly 1000 yards Receiving and 7 tds.\u00a0\u00a0 Bravo Steve!!!<\/p>\n

Miles Austin – Dallas<\/strong> – He didn\u2019t score in Week 16 – all he got was 9 catches for 92 yards.\u00a0 Austin did score in the previous 4 games and with a certain shootout against the Eagles looming – Austin is HOT.<\/p>\n

NOT<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Carson Palmer – Cincinnati<\/strong> – It is just shocking to me that a guy with Palmer\u2019s talent only throws for 139 yards against the Chiefs.\u00a0 I am out of words for this dude.<\/p>\n

Matt Cassell – Kansas City<\/strong> – Matt is some kinda bad right now.\u00a0 In his last 4 games, he has 3 touchdown passes and 8 interceptions.\u00a0 Cassell aint HOT. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

David Gerrard – Jacksonville<\/strong> – Looking to build of a 3 td. performance in Week 15, David Gerrard slipped back to his Dud ways.\u00a0 He has thrown zero touchdown in the 2 games sandwiched around that effort.\u00a0 Gerrard is a total Dud.<\/p>\n

Matt Hasselbeck – Seattle<\/strong> 2 consecutive 4 interception games is NOT HOT.<\/p>\n

Reggie Bush – New Orleans<\/strong> – Oh Reggie, <\/strong>just when I think that you are on the right path, you completely disappear. He\u2019s catching the ball but always for minimal gains.\u00a0 Awful!!<\/p>\n

Ricky Williams – Miami<\/strong> – Don\u2019t get me wrong – Ricky\u2019s been OK.\u00a0 Week 16 only produced 35 yards rushing and now he has to face a Pittsburgh Defense the NEEDS to be huge.<\/p>\n

Fred Jackson – Buffalo<\/strong> – <\/strong>39 yards rushing against a terrible Atlanta run Defense?\u00a0 Jackson hasn\u2019t scored in 4 weeks and is finding himself NOT HOT.<\/p>\n

Terrell Owens – Buffalo<\/strong> – What\u2019s truly amazing is that TO has kept his mouth shut.\u00a0 He\u2019s averaging less than 3 catches per game and 25 yards over his last 3 games – NOT HOT<\/p>\n

Mike Sims-Walker – Jacksonville<\/strong> – Outside of a Week 16 game with 6 catches, 64 yards and a td., Sims-Walker has averaged under 2 catches and about 12 yards in his last 4 games – terrible.<\/p>\n

Reggie Wayne – Indianapolis<\/strong> Had a good Week 15, but other than that he\u2019s been eerily quiet.\u00a0 He\u2019ll probably be rested in Week 17, so Wayne really aint HOT.
