The Jags offense has been inept at times and the run game hasn\u2019t been as potent as in previous seasons. The defense has stuggled having allowed more than 50 points than they have scored. Receiver Mike Sims-Walker is pretty banged up, which pretty much negates any chance at a decent passing attack. This team will not derail the Colts, but a Jags loss will most likely take Jacksonville out of the playoff race. Manning and company get the win.<\/p>\n
Saturday, December 19 8:20 pm <\/strong><\/h3>\nDallas Cowboys (8-5) @ New Orleans Saints (13-0)<\/strong>
\nLine: New Orleans \u20137 (Total 54)<\/strong><\/p>\nDallas in December is always ugly and we aren\u2019t talking about the weather. We all know that come December the Cowboys can\u2019t seem to find the end zone. The Saints should have a field day here especially at home. Drew Brees will put up some good passing numbers agasint a questionable Dallas secondary while orchestrating a balanced rushing attack. Saints LB Scott Fujita and RB Mike Bell are expected to return, furthering New Orleans\u2019 ability to stop Dallas dead in their tracks. The Saints improve to 14-0 on their way to the promise land.<\/p>\n
Sunday, December 20 1:00 pm <\/strong><\/h3>\nHouston Texans (6-7) @ St Louis Rams (1-12)<\/strong>
\nLine: Houston \u201312 \u00bd (Total 43 \u00bd)<\/strong><\/p>\nIt\u2019s too late for either of these teams to mount anything close to a playoff run, but a little pride is still left in Houston\u2019s tank. The Texans should be able to dominate the Rams with their passing game and shut down the Rams offense with a decent defense. The Rams only hope is running back Steven Jackson. The Texans win this one and improve to .500.<\/p>\n
1:00 pm \u2013 Cleveland Browns (2-11) @ Kansas City Chiefs (3-10)<\/strong>
\nLine: Kansas City -2 (Total 37)<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Browns have got to be reeling after beating the Steelers last week . Joshua \u201c<\/strong>Josh-of-all-trades\u201d <\/strong>Cribbs, <\/strong>single handedly dismantled Pittsburgh and their playoff hopes by slicing through Pittsburgh’s defense like butter. I really don\u2019t see the Chiefs putting much together and Matt Cassel\u2019s ability to lead the Chiefs to more than one win in every three to four contests is yet to be determined. Browns knock off KC in this one.<\/p>\n1:00 pm \u2013 New England Patriots (8-5) @ Buffalo Bills (5-8)<\/strong>
\nLine: New England -4 (Total 41)<\/strong><\/p>\nThis may be a harder fought amd much needed victory for New England than most may have thought before the season began. The Pats need a win to clinch the AFC East title and haven\u2019t been able to really get their 2007 mogo back. New England has its share of problems off the field as well with the recent distractions regarding Randy Moss\u2019 performace, Tom Barady\u2019s ability to stay healthy and Adalius Thomas\u2019 disatisfaction of being a Patriot. The Bills are a team that has nothing to lose at this point in the season, and to disrupt division rival New England would salvage a little Buffalo pride. Coupled with the Bills ability to run the ball this could go either way.<\/p>\n
1:00 pm \u2013 Miami Dolphins (7-6) @ Tennessee Titans (6-7)<\/strong>
\nLine: Tennessee -4 (Total 43)<\/strong><\/p>\nThis contest features two of the NFL\u2019s finest running teams. Chris Johnson and Ricky <\/strong>Williams will go head to head in this match up. Johnson is gunning to set a new single-season rushing record and the Titans have had just one bump in the road, losing to the Colts, since stringing together six wins in their last seven outings.The Fins need a win to keep their playoffs hopes alive. Both teams have had solid performances by second string quarterbacks, Chad Henne (7-3) and Vince Young (90.9 QB rating). Look for the Titans to win this one at home.<\/p>\n1:00 pm \u2013 San Francisco 49ers (6-7) @ Philadelphia Eagles (9-4)<\/strong>
\nLine: Philadelphia -9 (Total 42 \u00bd)<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Niners have to be feeling good about their Monday night win over the Cardinals, but it won\u2019t be enough to propel San Francisco to the postseason. The Niners has been awful on the road, and I don\u2019t think playing in Philly will help matters. Philadelphia\u2019s screen and short passing game will be too much for the 49ers as they fall 5-8 and further out of the playoffs.
