Seattle is just 1-4 SU\/ATS in their last 5 games with that lone win coming over the Detroit Lions. On the road, the Seahawks are 0-5 SU\/ATS in their last 5 games. The reason they\u2019re the favorites in this game is because they\u2019re 5-0 SU\/ATS in their last 5 games against the Rams. But that doesn\u2019t mean you can trust them. They\u2019re simply playing bad football right now.<\/p>\n

Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has averaged 281 yards in his last four games, but has just as many touchdowns (4) as he has interceptions (4). The rushing attack, which has just 5 touchdowns overall this year, has been irrelevant and unnoticeable. There are two things I like about the Rams right now. First of all, they\u2019re a stiff 4-1 ATS in their last five games. That includes spread wins over Arizona, New Orleans, Detroit and Jacksonville. Aside from the Lions, which is a game that they won, the other three teams are all playoff contenders.<\/p>\n

The second thing that I like about St. Louis it he rushing game with Steven Jackson. St. Louis has been nothing to scream about offensively, but Jackson has steadied these Rams to the fifth best rushing offense when playing at home (138.0 yards per game). The fact that the home team is getting the cushion against the 27th ranked road defense (145.8 yards against on the ground, 267.2 in the air) means that the multi-talented Jackson will have a truckload of work to do. But in the end he\u2019ll be the reason that you bet on the Rams. I love it when a home team gets a cushion, even it is just three-points.<\/p>\n
