NFL odds are seeing action a little earlier than normal this week \u2013 and so are supermarkets, as we\u2019re stocking up for Thanksgiving. Before our usual Friday parlay, we have a special one just for the three Thursday games this week.<\/p>\n

PACKERS (-10.5) over LIONS <\/strong><\/p>\n The Packers have burned us twice on big spreads this season \u2013 first against Cincinnati and then against Tampa Bay \u2013 but I still think they\u2019re good NFL betting picks to cover the 10.5-point spread in Detroit. A lot has changed for the Pack over the last few weeks. Aaron Rodgers has put last season\u2019s late-game struggles behind him and found a way to close out wins over the last couple of weeks. His 19:5 touchdown-to-interception ratio is simply amazing considering how many sacks he\u2019s taken this year (43 in 10 games after taking 34 in 16 games last year). Facing a Lions \u201cD\u201d that only has 18 sacks on the year, Rodgers will have more time to throw than normal; that puts him in line for his best game of the season. Even without Al Harris and Aaron Kampmann, both of whom succumbed to season-ending injuries last week, Green Bay\u2019s No. 3 overall defense can handle a Lions team that likely won\u2019t have Matt Stafford (shoulder) back in time for the game.<\/p>\n RAIDERS (+13.5) over COWBOYS<\/strong><\/p>\n Uh-oh. Tony Romo is creeping toward that special time of year when he starts to tank. Usually, it doesn\u2019t start until December \u2013 November is his best statistical month \u2013 but he couldn\u2019t muster much offense at all versus the lowly Redskins last week. Against good pass defenses in three consecutive weeks (Eagles, Packers, Redskins), Romo has just three touchdown passes. GIANTS (-6.5) over BRONCOS<\/strong><\/p>\n Sports betting fans shouldn\u2019t give up on the Giants just yet; they showed last week in an overtime win over Atlanta that they still have plenty of fight left. Injuries to the secondary and linebacking corps are the only real obstacles for the Giants to overcome; they still defend the pass well, run the ball well and usually get a good enough performance from Eli Manning to win. Against a freefalling Broncos team that has allowed at least 174 rushing yards in three straight games, Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw should have big days. The Giants will also pressure whoever starts between Chris Simms and Kyle Orton. Expect the Broncos\u2019 slide to continue as they kiss their Super Bowl odds<\/a> goodbye.
