Couture a slight fave in UFC 105 main event<\/h2>\n

One of the year\u2019s most anticipated Mixed Martial Arts fights takes place Saturday when Randy Couture faces Brandon Vera in the main event at UFC 105 in Manchester, England.<\/p>\n

The legendary Couture will likely get a title shot with a win over Vera in Saturday\u2019s light heavyweight bout (2 pm ET, SPIKE TV).<\/p>\n

betED.com MMA Betting Odds have Couture as a slight -115 favorite, while Vera is barely the underdog at -105.<\/p>\n

Couture (Overall MMA Record: 16-10) returned to the Ultimate Fighting Championship circuit last fall to face Brock Lesnar in a heavyweight championship bout at UFC 91.<\/p>\n

In that match, Lesnar knocked Couture down and, after a series of blows, scored a TKO victory at 3:07 of the second round.

\nCouture\u2019s last fight was in August when he went up against former UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 102. The spirited scrap resulted in a unanimous-decision win for Nogueira.<\/p>\n

Vera is 11-3 in his MMA career, including seven wins by knockout.<\/p>\n

Vera\u2019s last fight was also at UFC 102, where he battled Krzysztof Soszynski (after his original foe, Matt Hamill, was forced out after training injury. Vera won by unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

One fight that may get as much attention as the main event is one between England\u2019s Michael Bisping (17-2) and Denis Kang (32-11-1).<\/p>\n

Kang is a -130 favorite while Bisping is a +110 dog.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also an All-British fight with Paul Taylor taking on John Hathaway.<\/p>\n

Hathaway will be putting his undefeated record on the line against Taylor, a \u201cFight of the Night\u201d regular.<\/p>\n
