Preview<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Last season, the Wolverines staged a wild turn of momentum in the second half of their game versus Wisconsin and grabbed a 27-25 victory (the Badgers were dominating 19-0 at half!) Don’t think Wisconsin has forgotten about last season’s humiliation. After a hot start, Michigan has looked like the young, mistake-ridden team it is. In the past six weeks, the only victory UM has is against lowly Delaware State and the Maize and Blue are 1-5 in Big Ten play.<\/p>\n

In terms of talent and athleticism, Michigan has the horses to run with Wisconsin or indeed any elite team in the conference. Whether or not they will is a different story. Freshman QB Tate Forcier has looked excellent at times, though other times he looks undoubtedly like a first-year quarterback. Michigan’s defense is also dotted with playmakers, yet it only shows up to play once in a blue moon. Wisconsin, on the other hand, will have revenge on its mind, as will 80,000+ rabid fans in Camp Randall Stadium. The Badgers have a stout defense and an experienced secondary in particular.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>They have also been quite adept at gouging opponents on the ground; look for starting tailback John Clay to have a big day versus the Michigan D.<\/p>\n

Though Wisconsin is not known for a prolific offense, I think the home side will have no problem handling Rich Rod. and Co. in America’s Dairyland. The Badgers will control the clock and a combination of a pash-rush and skilled DBs should generate turnovers from mistake-prone Forcier.<\/p>\n

For Coach Rodriguez’s sake, the Michigan that’s accumstomed to being a perennial Big Ten contender has to show up soon.<\/p>\n
