Watchlist Q & A Week 8<\/h2>\n

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds<\/strong><\/a>, a who\u2019s hot, and who\u2019s not report plus more in our fantasy football<\/strong><\/a> guide.<\/p>\n

Almost \u00bd\u00a0was through the season and the Story lines just keep getting larger.\u00a0 Week 7 brings us undefeated teams, some new offensive starters, and some interesting teams coming off byes.\u00a0 Oh ya – there\u2019s Favre\u2019s return to Lambeau, and some key divisional games.<\/p>\n

Here is what I will be watching in what should be a most intriguing Week 8 of the NFL.<\/p>\n

HEY FANTASY FOOTBALLERS!!!! EVER BET ON AN NFL GAME???? TRY OUR EXPERT PICKS!! —–><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

1. What magic will Brett Favre\u2019s bring back to Lambeau field?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To say this game is being over hyped is the understatement of the year.\u00a0 Both offenses go into the game on fire.\u00a0 Should be an offensive game – I will be watching if Favre can pull off some magic once again.\u00a0 I like Favre and the Vikings in a high scoring game.\u00a0 Should be FUN!!<\/p>\n

2. What do the returning bye week teams have in store for their Week 8 competition?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Baltimore Ravens<\/strong> – The previous strength of the team (Defense) really needed the bye. <\/strong>Now they face a red – hot Broncos team coming off their bye.\u00a0 Will Willis McGahee reemerge or will Ray Rice continue to be the only fantasy option out of the backfield?\u00a0 The passing game should be fine for the rest of the way and finish in the top half to third of the NFL.<\/p>\n

Denver Broncos<\/strong> – Looking to remain undefeated, there wasn\u2019t much for the Broncos to improve upon during their bye.\u00a0 Strong running from Knowshon Moreno, a change of pace back in Correll Buckhalter, and an efficient, mistake free passing game should continue to roll through the 2nd<\/sup> half of the season.<\/p>\n

Detroit Lions<\/strong> – Healing was the main focus of the Lions off week.\u00a0 Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson definitely made strides towards starting against the Rams on Sunday.\u00a0 Obviously an upgrade for the passing game, but also a good sign for Kevin Smith and the running game who have been keyed upon since the passing starters went down.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville Jaguars<\/strong> – Jeckyl and Hyde team that needed they bye week to establish an identity sorely lacking as demonstrated by their inconsistent play.\u00a0 If their Defense could get it going in the 2nd<\/sup> half, it will allow the Jags to keep Maurice Jones Drew busy.\u00a0 This in turn will open up the passing game.\u00a0 The combination when working makes the Jaguars a very competitive team.<\/p>\n

Seattle Seahawks<\/strong> – Another team in desperate need of some consistency and some healing. The bye week officially spelled the end of the season for All Pro-All World first ballot hall of famer<\/strong> left tackle Walter Jones and although the Hawks have been playing without him all year, it is still a blow to the whole offense.\u00a0 The running game will remain a disaster, but the passing game should be respectable.<\/p>\n

Tennessee Titans<\/strong> – Ugh!!\u00a0 Welcome back to the starting roll Vince Young for your last chance at being a bonafide NFL QB.\u00a0 Although the running game (which is just fine thank you very much) will not see any significant spike, the passing game should benefit.\u00a0 With teams having to respect Young\u2019s ability to run, the receivers should be able to find themselves in 1 on 1 coverage.\u00a0 If they can\u2019t have success with 1 on 1 coverage, there\u2019s no hope!<\/p>\n

3. Will the undefeated teams stay undefeated?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Indianapolis Colts<\/strong> – Play the 49ers at home this week.\u00a0 The Niners will have Alex Smith at QB this week – his 1st<\/sup> start of the season.\u00a0 Donald Brown probably won\u2019t play due to a shoulder injury, so upgrade Addai.\u00a0 As for the passing game – they can do no wrong!<\/p>\n

Denver Broncos<\/strong> – Good test for the most surprising team in the NFL.\u00a0 On the road against a once Hot Ravens team that stumbled before their bye.\u00a0 Should be a competitive game with the running game most likely to have diminished #s.\u00a0 The Ravens have proven vulnerable to the pass, so Orton and company could have a decent outing.<\/p>\n

New Orleans Saints<\/strong> – These guys are ramping it up right now – <\/strong>they are blowing Defenses out of the stadiums.\u00a0\u00a0 At home on Monday night – they should roll.<\/p>\n

4. How will the Replacements fare this week in the NFL?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Alex Smith – San Francisco<\/strong> -Takes over the starting job – 1st test? – The Colts – Ugh!\u00a0 One thing is for sure – The 49ers are going to have to throw a lot to keep the game close. With Gore, Crabtree and Vernon Davis – <\/strong>who knows?<\/p>\n

Shonne Greene – NY Jets<\/strong> – An immediate Fantasy factor.\u00a0 Greene should get at least 12 touches on a team that rushes the ball more than any team in the NFL.<\/p>\n

LeSean McCoy – Philadelphia – <\/strong>Becomes The Man for the Eagles.\u00a0 He\u2019ll be a big part of the offense as long as Westbrook is out.\u00a0 Could be a Stud going forward.<\/p>\n

Vince Young – Tennessee – <\/strong>He gets another chance – What will he do with it?\u00a0 He has a team that was supposed to challenge for a Super Bowl this year.\u00a0 Young knows that he HAS to deliver this time – should be interesting.<\/p>\n

Rory Fitzpatrick – Buffalo<\/strong> – not worth wasting my time or yours<\/p>\n

5. How will the underachieving Running Backs do this weekend?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Matt Forte<\/strong> – This is the week that should determine if Forte is a bust or not.\u00a0 Playing against a terrible Cleveland Defense, Forte has to have a good game <\/strong>doesn\u2019t he?<\/p>\n

Frank Gore<\/strong> – Underachieving might be a bit harsh, but last week\u2019s return from injury was disappointing at best.\u00a0 This week he plays a Hot Indianapolis team that will surely have a huge lead in the game. Gore\u2019s involvement in the game could be minimal. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

LaDainian Tomlinson<\/strong> – Signs of the \u201cOld LT\u201d were there last weeks, but overall, there wasn\u2019t all that much to be excited about.\u00a0 Oakland could right LT\u2019s ship.<\/p>\n

6. Which injuries will have to be considered before lineups are in Sunday morning?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Trent Edwards – Buffalo<\/strong> – Out this week with a concussion.\u00a0 Rory Fitzpatrick will start.<\/p>\n

Matthew Stafford – Detroit<\/strong> – Practiced most of the week.\u00a0 Keep tabs – there\u2019s a chance he could play<\/p>\n

Brian Westbrook – Philadelphia<\/strong> – Concussion – doesn\u2019t figure to play.<\/p>\n

Donald Brown – Indianapolis <\/strong>– Shoulder injury will keep him out this week<\/p>\n

Ahmad Bradshaw\u00a0 – NY Giants<\/strong> – Could and should play through his foot fracture (sounds weird).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Andre Johnson – Houston<\/strong> – Bruised lung – he\u2019s convinced <\/strong>he will play<\/p>\n

DeSean Jackson – Philadelphia<\/strong> – Sprained foot – Should play<\/p>\n

Calvin Johnson – Detroit<\/strong> – Extra week off helped – 60\/40 where he plays or not.\u00a0 Keep tabs.<\/p>\n

Anquan Boldin – Arizona<\/strong> – One more week removed from high ankle sprain.\u00a0 He played last week, he should do the same this week.<\/p>\n

Reggie Wayne – Indianapolis<\/strong> – Sounds like a game time decision.\u00a0 Another injury to keep your eye on.<\/p>\n

Jerricho Cotchery – NY Jets<\/strong> – Back at practice – looks ready to go!<\/p>\n

Bernard Berrian – Minnesota – <\/strong>Slowed <\/strong>by the same hamstring as earlier in the season.\u00a0 Might keep him out this week – he doesn\u2019t have much Fantasy value anyway.<\/p>\n

7. What will be the outcome of the key divisional matchups this weekend?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

NY Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles<\/strong> – Highly anticipated game that will go a long way in determining the East standings.\u00a0 The Giants are struggling and the Eagles seem to be back on track.\u00a0 I expect a lowish scoring game with a few turnovers.\u00a0 These teams have had some ugly games in the past and that trend could continue.<\/p>\n

Miami Dolphins@ NY Jets<\/strong> – 2 Ball control offenses going head to head.\u00a0 Should be a low scoring game too with the best ground game winning.\u00a0 My $ is on the Jets.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tennessee Titans<\/strong> – Boring<\/p>\n

Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers<\/strong> – Should be a barn burner.<\/p>\n

Oakland @ San Diego – <\/strong>Beware of the \u201clet down\u201d game if you are a Chargers fan.\u00a0 It smells like an upset this weekend – maybe not!<\/p>\n

8. What\u2019s the Braylon Edwards update?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

He still sucks!!!!<\/p>\n
