Hot and Not Week 8<\/h2>\n

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players<\/strong> for the week should help you out if they\u2019re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football<\/strong><\/a> always favors the prepared mind.<\/p>\n

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.<\/p>\n

Ahhhh Fantasy Football – a habit that allows a person to rest easy knowing that their team will light it up every week!!\u00a0 I don\u2019t know about you, but the opposite is true with me.\u00a0 I stay awake at night thinking about the matchups to try and figure out which one of my players will be on the Hot and Not list.\u00a0 OK – a bit extreme!!<\/p>\n

Anyways – there was some heat once again in Week 7 (which none of my players are) and some chill (which a disproportionate # of my players are).<\/p>\n

So here we go with this week\u2019s Hot and Not.<\/p>\n

HOT<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. Tom Brady – New England<\/strong> – Going into his bye this Week, Brady has passed for 688 yards and 9 TD\u2019s over the last 2 games.\u00a0 Insane #s that reestablishes Tom as one of the Hottest players in the game.<\/p>\n

2. Peyton Manning – Indianapolis<\/strong> – Manning\u2019s consecutive 300 yard game streak was snapped by St. Louis???? I had to read it twice too!\u00a0\u00a0 Anyways, Manning had averaged 3 TD\u2019s in his last 4 games.\u00a0 He is Fantasy Gold right now and is Hot Hot Hot.<\/p>\n

3. Aaron Rogers – Green Bay<\/strong> – Although Rogers has had an easy schedule, he has been putting up some great numbers.\u00a0 At least 2 touchdowns in his last 4 games and only 1 game fewer than 250 yards this year is proof enough that Rogers belongs here.\u00a0 Minnesota, Tampa and Dallas are up next – no reason to think that Rogers won\u2019t continue his Hot play.<\/p>\n

4. Tony Romo – Dallas<\/strong> – Some have questioned Romo\u2019s leadership.\u00a0 Others have questioned his ability.\u00a0 One thing is certain right now and that is – Romo is playing some damn good football.\u00a0 2 straight 300 yard games and 5 TD\u2019s in those 2 games.\u00a0 Seattle is next – you\u2019ll likely see Romo\u2019s name here next week too.<\/p>\n

5. NY Jets Running Game <\/strong>– Thomas Jones is scorching right now and Leon Washington – WAS too.\u00a0 After Leon went down with a season ending injury, his replacement Shonne Greene picked up the slack.\u00a0 The Jets are playing the type of football needed when the weather turns cold – they are Hot as hell and should keep rolling with games against Miami and Jacksonville.<\/p>\n

6. Cedric Benson – Cincinnati –<\/strong> 37 carries on Sunday?\u00a0 189 yards?\u00a0 Yup its true – Benson just keeps rolling.\u00a0 He is putting up MVP numbers this year and fears that his workload is going to catch up to him seem unwarranted.\u00a0 Cedric is Hot and is propelling his team to odds defying heights.<\/p>\n

7. Miles Austin – Dallas<\/strong> – Absolutely nuts what Austin is doing.\u00a0 421 yards receiving and 4 TD\u2019s in his last 2 games!!!\u00a0 That\u2019s HOT!<\/p>\n

8. Wes Welker -New England<\/strong> – Has 10 catches in each of the last 2 weeks and has added 3 TD\u2019s over that span.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t love Welker, you are not a Football fan.\u00a0 He\u2019s a blue collar Fantasy Stud who doesn\u2019t complain and just does his job.\u00a0 Refreshing isn\u2019t it!<\/p>\n

9. Sidney Rice – Minnesota<\/strong> – Another WR that has quite a 2 game streak going.\u00a0 Over the last 2 games, Rice has gained 312 yards.\u00a0 That\u2019s more than Terrell Owens has combined in 7 games!!\u00a0 Rice is unquestionably Brett Favre\u2019s favorite target right now and if it wasn\u2019t for Austin and Welker, he\u2019d be the Hottest WR in the NFL.<\/p>\n

10. Ochocinco – Cincinnati<\/strong> – Finally letting his play do the talking for him.\u00a0 How\u2019s that working out for ya Chad?\u00a0 2 straight games over 100 yards receiving and 2 TD\u2019s in his last game answers that question.\u00a0 As long as Ocho\u2019s mouth is cold, he\u2019ll be Hot.<\/p>\n

11 Owen Daniels – Houston – <\/strong>Wow!!\u00a0 This guy is simply sizzling.\u00a0 He appears to be indefensible (interesting word) and has turned into the most dominant Tight End in the league.\u00a0 If you own him in your Fantasy league, congratulations.<\/p>\n

NOT<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. Jake Delhomme – Carolina<\/strong> – Is so Not Hot that there is a QB controversy between the 2 backups <\/strong>for his starting job.\u00a0\u00a0 4 touchdowns and 13 interceptions so far this year – you do the math!!<\/p>\n

2. Jason Campbell – Washington<\/strong> – Captain of a sinking ship!!\u00a0 Campbell just doesn\u2019t seem to have \u201cit\u201d and even a change of play callers didn\u2019t seem to help this week.\u00a0 Campbell is Not Hot on a team that is c-c-c-c-cold! \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

3. Derek Anderson – Cleveland<\/strong> – 3 straight games with under 125 yards passing, 1 td. and 3 interceptions.\u00a0 The fact that this dude still has a job is startling.\u00a0 What the hell has to happen in Cleveland before \u201cFrigid Derek\u201d gets benched?<\/p>\n

4. Matt Forte – Chicago<\/strong> – Were you one of the people that spent a high 1st<\/sup> round draft choice on this pooch?\u00a0 I was!\u00a0 1 game over 70 yards rushing this year on a pretty good offense has the Fantasy World wondering if Forte will ever het up.\u00a0 Doesn\u2019t look good does it?<\/p>\n

5. Pierre Thomas\u00a0 – New Orleans <\/strong>– Steadily falling out of favor in New Orleans with Mike Bell and even Reggie Bush seeing more time out of the backfield.\u00a0 It has been a cloudy RB situation in New Orleans for a while and Thomas appears (after an 8 rush 30 yard performance) to be lost in the fog.\u00a0 It seems that Thomas will lose touches going forward.<\/p>\n

6. Tashard Choice – Dallas<\/strong> – What happened here?\u00a0 Choice looked like the best of the 3 Running Backs in Dallas only 10 or so days ago.\u00a0 Felix Jones and Marion Barber are healthy now and Tashard appears to be the odd man out.\u00a0 1 catch was all that Choice managed on Sunday – Not Hot!!!<\/p>\n

7. Terrell Owens – Buffalo – <\/strong>Poor, Poor TO.\u00a0\u00a0 Such a nice guy doesn\u2019t deserve to be Not Hot.\u00a0 I might as well call the NOT column the Terrell Owens column.<\/p>\n

8. Roy Williams – Dallas<\/strong> – Had a lot to prove on Sunday but didn\u2019t even come close to delivering.\u00a0 Williams is the forgotten man in Dallas and figures to be looking for a job next season. Williams is a \u201cWho Needs Ya\u201d and is therefore Not Hot.<\/p>\n

9. Braylon Edwards – NY Jets<\/strong> – After a stunning Jets debut, Braylon has cooled in a way that only he knows how.\u00a0 The Jets were without Jerricho Cotchery and needed Edwards to step up in the last 2 games.\u00a0 How does he reward the team – 4 catches for 44 yards in 2 games – brutal!!<\/p>\n

10. Calvin Johnson – Detroit <\/strong>– Injured and not getting better.\u00a0 Without Johnson, the Lions are a completely different team.\u00a0 A top tier talent that just can\u2019t get on the field is Not Hot!
