WEEK 7 STUDS AND DUDS<\/h2>\n

Without wasting any more of your time, here are the Week 7 Fantasy Football Studs & Duds<\/strong> plus key player stats for the NFL games that went on on this week (Week 7).<\/p>\n

WEEK 7 STUDS AND DUDS<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Week 7 of the NFL was one in which the expectations were high. Some delivered, and some fell flat on their faces.\u00a0 This Week Studs and Duds has it fair share of return customers, but also has some \u201cunusual suspects\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 So here we go with my Week 7 Studs and Duds.<\/p>\n

Stud of the Week<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Carson Palmer – Cincinnati <\/strong>– Absolutely had his way with what I thought was a pretty good Chicago Defense.\u00a0 20\/24 for 233 yards and 5 – count em – 5 TD\u2019s.!\u00a0 Palmer was smart, efficient poised and Studly in a statement game.\u00a0 The Bengals are for real folks and if they keep getting performances like the ones we saw in Week 7, they could be a scary team going forward.<\/p>\n

Dud of the Week<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Matt Forte – Chicago<\/strong> – Although the Stud of the Week (Palmer) and Cinci\u2019s Offense took the Bears out of their game plan early, hopes were that Forte would figure heavily into the passing game.\u00a0 Forte hasn\u2019t been doing anything out of the backfield all year and his only saving grace is that he is a good receiver.\u00a0 Well, in Week 7, Matt managed only 24 yards rushing and 25 yards receiving on 4 catches.\u00a0 Forte is quickly becoming the Dud of the Year.<\/p>\n

Other<\/span><\/strong> Studs<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Peyton Manning – Indianapolis<\/strong> – Another 3 TD\u2019s. Today – ho hum!!!!!<\/p>\n

Tom Brady – New England – <\/strong>Only 300 yard passer in the morning games, Brady was able to show the British public what has made him a Stud on this side of the Atlantic.\u00a0 308 yards and 3 TD\u2019s. Seems ordinary for Tom, but is extra-ordinary for 95% of the other QBs in the league. <\/strong>Must be nice to be a Stud on 2 continents.<\/p>\n

Aaron Rogers – Green Bay<\/strong> – The numbers aren\u2019t typically Studworthy, but the 3 TD\u2019s. and the efficiency that he demonstrated is.\u00a0 15\/20 for 246 yards and 3 TD\u2019s. Is truly outstanding making Aaron worthy of his spot on the Stud list.<\/p>\n

Tony Romo – Dallas – <\/strong>311 yards and 3 TD\u2019s. in a big game for Romo was made more impressive with the ineffectiveness of the running game.\u00a0 The Cowboys dominated all aspects of the game in Week 7 and Romo was in complete control.<\/p>\n

Jets RBs – <\/strong>Shonne Greene <\/strong>and Thomas Jones combined for 265 yards and 3 TD\u2019s. in Week 7, making both Studs.\u00a0 Obviously the Jets Offensive line deserves some credit too!\u00a0\u00a0 We\u2019ll give a shout out to the O-line and acknowledge their Studliness as well.<\/p>\n

Ryan Grant – Green Bay<\/strong> – Finally!!!\u00a0 It was questionable whether or not we\u2019d see Grant on the Stud list at all this year, but a Week 7 effort of 27 rushes for 148 yards and a TD shows that he is capable of being an occasional Stud.<\/p>\n

Steven Jackson – St. Louis<\/strong> – Poor Steven!!\u00a0 A great player on a terrible team.\u00a0\u00a0 Jackson managed 134 yards rushing in Week 7 – almost \u00bd of the total offense for his entire team.\u00a0 He\u2019s a man amongst boys right now and the fact that he puts on his helmet and comes out every week – doesn\u2019t complain, makes him a Stud.<\/p>\n

Miles Austin – Dallas<\/strong> – The dude\u2019s no fluke\u00a0 171 yards and 2 TD\u2019s marked his 2nd<\/sup> Stud List appearance in as many games.\u00a0 Look folks, Roy Williams is not The Man in Dallas – Austin is!!\u00a0 If you have him on your Fantasy team – Congratulations<\/p>\n

Chad Ochocinco – Cincinnati<\/strong> – Ocho is going to be in the Pro Bowl <\/strong>again this year thanks to <\/strong>such <\/strong>Stud\u00a0performances as we saw in Week 7.\u00a0 10 Catches, 118 yards and 2 TD\u2019s.\u00a0 – nuff said!!<\/p>\n

Wes Welker\u00a0 – New England<\/strong> – Is there a more blue collar Stud in the NFL right now?\u00a0 Welker has shown over the years that he will do whatever it takes in order to make a catch and gain and extra yard or 2.\u00a0 10 more grabs for 107 yards and 1td. in Week 7 for one of my favorite players in the game.<\/p>\n

Vincent Jackson – San Diego <\/strong>– Huge game for Vjax against a pretty poor Defense.\u00a0 142 yards and a td. was mostly accomplished in the 1st<\/sup> half of his game, but it\u2019s still worthy of\u00a0 Stud consideration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vernon Davis – San Francisco<\/strong> – 3 TD\u2019s. in Week7 – 3!!\u00a0 Alex Smith came in for an ineffective Shawn Hill and hit Vernon all day long.\u00a0 Davis single – handedly made this a close game.\u00a0 For taking his team on his back and giving them something to build on – he\u2019s a Stud!<\/p>\n

Owen Daniels – Houston<\/strong> – This dude is no longer under the Fantasy radar – he\u2019s a legitimate #1 TE.\u00a0 Daniels is as hot as they come in the league and he doesn\u2019t figure to slow down anytime soon.\u00a0 7 catches 123 yards and a td.\u00a0 – WE\u2019RE NOT WORTHY, WE\u2019RE NOT WORTHY!<\/p>\n

Other Duds<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Derek Anderson – Cleveland<\/strong> – Is Brady Quinn that bad?\u00a0 Worse than \u201cCaptain of the All Dud Team\u201d Derek Anderson?\u00a0 Anderson has failed to reach 100yards passing in 2 of his last 3 games – his Week 7 effort of 99 yards and 1 int. included.<\/p>\n

JaMarcus Russell – Oakland<\/strong> – too easy.<\/p>\n

Marc Bulger – St. Louis – <\/strong>I just don\u2019t understand why that a team that is trailing 14-3 after the 1st<\/sup> quarter cannot and does not put up some better passing #\u2019s.\u00a0 It\u2019s as though Bulger has given up on this season and is resigned to the fact that he will be on the Dud list for the remainder of the year. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Frank Gore – San Francisco<\/strong> – Was everybody fired up to see what Gore was going to do to the beatable Houston Defense?\u00a0 Me too!\u00a0 Well, 47 combined yards on 15 touches was all that he could muster.\u00a0 Gore returned with a Thud, and therefore he became a Dud!<\/p>\n

Tashard Choice – Dallas<\/strong> – 1 catch was all that Choice recorded in a week that Dallas put up 37 points.\u00a0 Felix Jones returned and had 10 touches.\u00a0 Once a Waiver Wire darling, Tashard has become a Dud.<\/p>\n

Pierre Thomas – New Orleans<\/strong> – Thomas is back at 100% health and looking poised to return to his starter status in the potent Saints Offense.\u00a0 He didn\u2019t look very good.\u00a0 Thomas should have done WAY better.\u00a0 Week 7’s 30 yards rushing proves that he belongs in the Dud column.<\/p>\n

Ahmad Bradshaw – NY Giants<\/strong> – Fans were ready to give the starting RB role to Bradshaw and how does he reward them – 27 total yards!\u00a0 Not very good at all.<\/p>\n

Hines Ward – Pittsburgh<\/strong> – Wow – didn\u2019t see this one coming!\u00a0 1 catch for 3 yards?\u00a0 Gotta be kidding me.\u00a0 We\u2019ll give him a mulligan, but still have to acknowledge that Ward was a Week 7 Dud.<\/p>\n

Roy Williams<\/strong> – Dallas<\/strong> – Came into the season as the Cowboy\u2019s #1 receiver and has quickly fallen off the map.\u00a0 Healthy again, Williams entered Week 7 with a lot to prove.\u00a0 To be Romo\u2019s go to guy means good things – look at Miles Austin!\u00a0 Williams is obviously not that guy and for that reason he\u2019s a Dud.<\/p>\n

Braylon Edwards – NY Jets<\/strong> – Jerricho Cotchery is out and the Jets are up against the terrible Raiders.\u00a0 Edwards is in line for a huge game – right?\u00a0 Wrong – 1 catch for 14 yards – Dud!<\/p>\n

Terrell Owens – Buffalo<\/strong> – I admit – it is fun to be able to mention TO in the Dud column every week.\u00a0 But when a dude with huge talent and a huge mouth can\u2019t deliver more than 3 catches and 27 yards, he is a Dud.<\/p>\n

Zach Miller – Oakland<\/strong> – A lot of people are buying into the Zach Miller hype – hell, he had over 100 yards last week.\u00a0 This week – 15 lousy yards receiving – brutal!<\/p>\n
