College Football Betting Odds: Boston College vs Notre Dame<\/h2>\n

Heisman Trophy candidate Jimmy Clausen and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will try to bounce back as they host the seven point underdog Boston College Eagles at 3:30 PM ET at Notre Dame.<\/p>\n

Notre Dame arrives to this match after a disappointing 34-27 loss against USC last week. Jimmy Clausen pushed Southern California to the very last second, but once again fell short in a big game.<\/p>\n

Clausen threw 260 yards for 2 TD and no interceptions but lost the battle against QB Matt Barkley who\u2019s got better command of his offense.<\/p>\n

Boston College on the other hand crushed North Carolina State 52-20 and RB Montel Harris set two new school records with 264 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Harris will try to take advantage of an above average Notre Dame rushing defense. Last week the Fighting Irish allowed 121 yards on the ground and a couple of TD.<\/p>\n

Also, with Harris at QB, college football betting fans must expect the Eagles to use the Wildcat formation a number of times in the third down conversion.<\/p>\n

Of course the key for BC will be stopping one of the best QB in college football. Clausen is not only a Heisman Trophy candidate but a NFL prospect as well. He and his 12th rank passing offense will be looking to outgain a mediocre Eagles defense that allows 212.5 yards in the air.<\/p>\n

A potential motivation upside for BC is that they found out Linebacker Mark Herzlich has a tumor in his left leg and players and coaching staff want to dedicate a win over Notre Dame to him.<\/p>\n

“His mental approach is one of a competitor,” Notre Dame Charlie Weis said. “Just watching how he approached the news — when I talked to this kid, it was like, ‘I know I’m going to beat it. It isn’t even a question.’<\/p>\n
