Time<\/strong>: Sunday 4:05 ET He has a great future, and at some point will probably be the best quarterback in his division, AFC Conference or mayb even the entire league.<\/p>\n What the Jets want to know now is if Sanchez has the ability to bounce back from a bad game, and they\u2019ll find that out Sunday in Oakland. Sanchez was crestfallen last Sunday after New York\u2019s stunning overtime loss to Buffalo. Five interceptions will do that to you.<\/p>\n Playing quarterback in the NFL requires a pro golfer\u2019s steady temperament, and there is concern in the Big Apple about Sanchez beating himself up during and after the Jets\u2019 third consecutive loss, a defeat which moved them down a rung in the East. Sanchez was near tears in discussing his 5-INT Bills game in which the rookie completed only 10 (of 30) passes for 96 yards, was sacked twice, and couldn\u2019t get the team into the end zone in two trips inside the Buffalo 20.<\/p>\n Jets coach Rex Ryan, who loves teams to dominate defensively while the quarterback runs a mistake-free offense, was uncharacteristically reflective in discussing Sanchez\u2019s troubles. The Jets are now signaling that they will dumb down the offense for Sanchez, in much the same way that the Steelers cut the field in half and limited Ben Roethlisberger during his rookie season. As he tries to repair Sanchez\u2019s frangile psyche, Ryan and the Jets staff also have to figure out a way to minimize the damage caused by the season-ending knee injury to nose tackle Kris Jenkins. Jenkins\u2019 370-pound presence in the middle of the line forced double- and triple-teams, and allowed everyone else to run around and cause havoc. There is speculation now that Ryan will abandon his 3-4 attack-the-pocket defense in favor of a 4-3.<\/p>\n With New England\u2019s offense apparently running on all cylinders again and the Pats taking on winless Tampa Bay this Sunday, a loss on the West Coast (where the Jets went 0-4 last season) would drop the Jets two games back in the East after their 3-0 start.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, no one knows what to make of the Raiders, who were outscored 96-16 in the three games before that head-scratching victory over Philadelphia last Sunday.
