Week 7 Hot and Not<\/h2>\n

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players<\/strong> for the week should help you out if they\u2019re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football<\/strong><\/a> always favors the prepared mind.<\/p>\n

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.<\/p>\n

Definitely a lot of heat in the NFL this past week.\u00a0 There were 8 – 300+ yard passers, 6 – 125+ yard receivers and 6 players that scored more than 2 TD’s.\u00a0 There were also examples like 4 – sub 100 yard passing games for QBs and even 1 QB that ended up with negative passing yards.<\/p>\n

Fantasy Football people\u00a0– \u00a0isn\u2019t it fun!!!<\/p>\n

HOT<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. Peyton Manning – Indianapolis<\/strong> – I know that he didn\u2019t play this week, but he deserves to be mentioned anyway.<\/p>\n

2. Tom Brady – New England<\/strong> – 380 yards and 6 TD’s. in about \u00bd a game???\u00a0 Defiantly Hot, despite the snowstorm that he played in.<\/p>\n

3. Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh <\/strong>– Absolutely on fire this year – averaging 300+ yards per game and almost 2 TD\u2019s.\u00a0 A key to Ben\u2019s success is improved Offensive Line play.\u00a0 If you keep Ben from getting sacked, good things will happen.\u00a0 Will Roethlisberger remain Hot when the weather turns cold?\u00a0 I think he will.<\/p>\n

4 Brett Favre – Minnesota <\/strong>– Has multi-td. games in 4 of 6 this year and is off to the 1st<\/sup> 6-0 start of his career.\u00a0 Favre is playing like a man 15 years his junior right now and leaving no doubts that he\u2019s Hot!<\/p>\n

5. Matt Schaub – Houston <\/strong>– At least 300 yards in 4 of 6 games this year as well.\u00a0 Sunday\u2019s performance proved that Schaub belongs on this list.\u00a0 The 4 TD\u2019s. don\u2019t hurt either!<\/p>\n

6. Maurice Jones-Drew – Jacksonville<\/strong> – MJD did some bitching about the play calling in the last few weeks and the coaches listened.\u00a0 177 yards and 3 TD\u2019s. in Week 6 proved how Hot he can be given the chance.<\/p>\n

7. Ray Rice – Baltimore<\/strong> – 337 combined yard in the last 2 games!!!\u00a0 Unreal!\u00a0 Rice is as Hot as they come, rendering Willis McGahee irrelevant in Fantasy circles.\u00a0 You know that when Rice touches the ball, something is going to happen.<\/p>\n

8. Adrian Peterson – Minnesota<\/strong> – Was getting the TD\u2019s. but now Peterson is getting the yardage numbers too.\u00a0 143 yards on 20 carries in Week 6 follows a 2 td. performance in Week 5.\u00a0 He\u2019s about to catch fire folks – watch out league!!! <\/strong><\/p>\n

9. Carolina RBs <\/strong>– Finally the terrifying running tandem of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are heating up.\u00a0 In Week 6, they combined for 262 yards and 3 TD\u2019s.!\u00a0 If they can get on a roll like they did last year, they will be on this list again – guaranteed.<\/p>\n

10. New England WRs<\/strong> – It was only a matter of time that Randy Moss and Wes Welker broke from their slumber.\u00a0 Week 6 had the duo combine for 18 catches, 279 yards and 5 TD\u2019s.\u00a0 Absolutely nuts – and Defiantly worthy of being called Hot.<\/p>\n

11. Andre Johnson – Houston<\/strong> – 8 grabs in each of the last 2 weeks is a reminder of why Johnson was the 3rd<\/sup> or 4th<\/sup> WR taken in most Fantasy drafts.\u00a0 Sprinkle in a couple of TD\u2019s. over that span and you have one Hot WR.<\/p>\n

12 Hines Ward – Pittsburgh<\/strong> – Touchdowns in 2 straight games, Ward has emerged as Roethlisberger\u2019s favorite target.\u00a0 As long as Ben is Hot, Hines will be Hot too!<\/p>\n

13. Owen Daniels – Houston<\/strong> – Quickly becoming the NFL\u2019s most dangerous TEs.\u00a0 Daniels followed up his 8 catch 94 yard effort in Week 5 with a 7 grab 78 yard 2td. performance in Week 6.\u00a0 With Matt Schaub throwing for 300+ yards per game, Daniels doesn\u2019t figure to slow his pace any time soon.<\/p>\n

Honorable Mention – Joe Flacco – Baltimore : Drew Brees – New Orleans : Thomas Jones – NY Jets : Ahmad Bradshaw – NY Giants, Sidney Rice – Minnesota : Mike Sims-Walker – Jacksonville and Heath Miller – Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

NOT<\/span> <\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. Kerry Collins – Tennessee<\/strong> – I Can\u2019t remember the last time I heard a stat line with minus 7 yards passing, but it happened this week.\u00a0 We\u2019ll call Collins \u201cKing Not Hot\u201d.\u00a0 Vince Young – start learning the playbook my good man.<\/p>\n

2. Jake Delhomme – Carolina <\/strong>– 65 yards passing against Tampa Bay?\u00a0 Say it isn\u2019t so.\u00a0 Good thing that the running game re-emerged for the Panthers – Williams and Stewart must have known that Delhomme was going to sewer the team.<\/p>\n

3. Matt Hasselbeck – Seattle<\/strong> – Completely laid an egg against the Cardinals. 112 yards on 10 of 29 passing surely is Not Hot.\u00a0 After lighting up Jacksonville in Week 5, Matt is proof that you can go from Hot to Not Hot in a flash. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Jason Campbell – Washington<\/strong> – 3 straight stinkers against the suspect defenses of Tampa Bay, Carolina, and Kansas City and he still seems to have a starting job!\u00a0 Unreal.\u00a0 3 bad teams this year have gotten their 1st<\/sup> win against the Skins, and Campbell can surely take his share of the blame.<\/p>\n

5. Willis McGahee – Baltimore – <\/strong>After a strong start to the season, McGahee has turned ice cold.\u00a0 Add in the fact that his counterpart Ray Rice is scorching, it leaves me thinking that Willis will not heat up any time soon.\u00a0 A Week 6 total of 3 yards on 7 carries is proof of McGahee\u2019s freeze.<\/p>\n

6. Brandon Jacobs – NY Giants<\/strong> – With only one td. so far this year, Jacobs has been flirting with the Not Hot list for a while.\u00a0 Because of the emergence of a more effective Ahmad Bradshaw, and 2 straight underwhelming weeks, Jacobs deserves his place on the Not Hot list.<\/p>\n

7. Matt Forte – Chicago<\/strong> – 1 big run this year – 1!!!! Because of that, Forte has vaulted near the top of the \u201cbust of the year\u201d list.\u00a0 Averaging about 2.3 yards per carry on a good Offensive team is Not Hot.\u00a0 The only thing that can help now is the fact that some dude named Garrett Wolfe is the only other rusher touching the ball.\u00a0 Hell – your QB outrushed you Matt!!!<\/p>\n

8. Buffalo WRs\u00a0– <\/strong>Terrell Owens and Lee Evans have been virtually invisible all year and the possibility of Ryan Fitzpatrick taking over from injured, ineffective Trent Edwards won\u2019t help matters much.\u00a0 Nothing in Buffalo is Hot – not even the cheer leaders.<\/p>\n

9. Tennessee WRs <\/strong>– 2 WRs caught balls for the Titans in Week 6 – each one managed 1 grab!\u00a0 As long as Kerry Collins is under center, it seems that the pass catchers have NO value.\u00a0 With the possibility of Vince Young taking over at QB – well…….not any better!<\/p>\n

10. Steve Smith – Carolina<\/strong> – Jake Delhomme is killing Steve Smith!\u00a0 Smith has managed over 40 yards only twice this season, and still has not seen the end zone – Not Hot.<\/p>\n

11. Santana Moss – Washington<\/strong> – 5 catches for 86 yards in the last 2 games for the #1 WR on the team.\u00a0 The performances have been weak and the furture looks weaker.\u00a0 Phili, Atlanta, and Denver will continue Moss\u2019 Not Hot streak for sure!
