Saints 48 Giants 27<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>While I nailed the Saints cover on this one, I thought the Under would play out for NFL sports bettors. Guess I was wrong on that account, but New Orleans still looks fantastic \u2013 and has torched both, New York and Philadelphia so far this season. The Saints will have their hands full on the road with a blossoming Dolphins team that could surprise.<\/p>\n Vikings 33 Ravens 31<\/strong> Raiders 13 Eagles 9<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>The Eagles apparently have problems, big problems people. Losing to an absolutely atrocious Raiders team is unacceptable no matter how you cut it. The Eagles converted just two of 16 third-down opportunities while letting Oakland QB JaMarcus Russell complete 17 of 28 passes in his best performance in his brief three-year career! Oakland should have a shot to win their second straight at home against the Jets while Philadelphia looks to rebound on the road against a Redskins team that has underachieved in a big way this season.<\/p>\n Jaguars 23 Rams 20<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>U-G-L-Y, you ain\u2019t got no alibi!\u00a0Even in victory, the Jaguars showed just how incompetent they could be by narrowly beating the worst team in the league. Jacksonville has a bye in Week 7 while the Rams will likely get routed by Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts despite playing at home.<\/p>\n Panthers 28 Buccaneers 21<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>The Panthers aren\u2019t going to win any beauty contest, but at least they covered the spread like I said they would against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Carolina should be able to win again in Week 7 at home against a pitiful Bills team while the Buccaneers get spanked at home by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.<\/p>\n Chiefs 14 Redskins 6<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>I told bettors the Chiefs would cover and nab the outright road win \u2013 against another ugly ballclub in the Washington Redskins. That vote of confidence the Skins\u2019 players gave Jim Zorn earlier this week is out the window. Kansas City will have their hands full at home against a talent-laden Chargers team while the Redskins host a Philadelphia team that can apparently lose to anyone. Steelers 27 Browns 14<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>While the Over cashed in as I predicted, Pittsburgh failed to cover as 14-point favorites against a Browns team that also fall under the \u2018ugly category. Pittsburgh will have to step up their mediocre play with Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings visiting next week while the Browns host a talented Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.<\/p>\n Texans 28 Bengals 17<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>Well, those \u2018split personality\u2019 Texans showed up again \u2013 and ruined what I thought was a sure cover for the Bengals following their thrilling win over Baltimore in Week 5. Talk about a head-scratcher! Houston hosts a rebuilding Niners team in Week 7 while Carson Palmer and the Bengals host Jay Cutler and a Chicago Bears team that has played very hard for head coach Lovie Smith despite their lack of offensive weapons.<\/p>\n Packers 26 Lions 0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>I though the Lions would come out with a better effort for veteran Daunte Culpepper, but I must have forgotten Detroit\u2019s offensive line resembles a group of first-year high school JV players. If the Lions put franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford behind this line again, they\u2019re absolutely nuts. The Pack hit the road to face a woeful Cleveland ballclub in Week 7 while the Lions, thankfully, get a bye in Week 7.<\/p>\n Cardinals 27 Seahawks 3<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>The Seahawks let me down in a big way after routing Jacksonville 41-0 in Week 5 by failing to score a touchdown against a Cardinals defense that is nowhere near elite. Now Kurt Warner and Co. are back in the picture in the NFC West after a tough start. Arizona will try to use their high-powered offense to duplicate what New Orleans did in Week 6 when they hit the road to take on the G-Men while Seattle gets the week off to regroup.<\/p>\n Patriots 59 Titans 0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>I told NFL gamblers the Pats would bounce back, but my goodness, I certainly didn\u2019t see 59 points and five touchdown passes from Tom Brady \u2013 in one quarter \u2013 coming against a Titans team that has totally quit on head coach Jeff Fisher.\u00a0The winless Titans need to play young QB Vince Young for the remainder of the season now as they begin to look to the future. The Pats will likely \u2018open up a can of whup ass\u2019 on the lowly Buccaneers in Week 7 while the Titans get a bye in Week 7 and should probably take the rest of the season off after their atrocious Week 6 performance.<\/p>\n Bills 16 Jets 13<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>The Jets have regressed in each of the last three weeks \u2013 and by golly, the Bills actually scored an offensive touchdown after putting up a grand total of three points in an ugly 6-3 Week 5 loss to Cleveland. However, Terrell Owens has got to want out of Buffalo after catching just one pass for nine yards in a game Bills head coach Dick Jauron foolishly called \u2018a great win for our football team.\u201d Huh? Buffalo won\u2019t be so lucky against the Panthers on the road next week while the J-E-T-S will try to snap their three-game skid on the road against the Raiders.<\/p>\n Falcons 21 Bears 9<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>The Falcons and Under cashed in as I predicted against a Chicago team that clearly needs to give strong-armed quarterback Jay Cutler some more offensive weapons. Gifted young quarterback Matt Ryan and the Falcons hit the road I Week 7 to take on a Cowboys\u2019 team that hasn\u2019t been too impressive this season while \u2018Da Bears\u2019 should have a good shot at beating Cincinnati on the road.<\/p>\n
\nThe Vikings failed to cover the 3-point line, but escaped with a lucky home win as Ravens place kicker Steven Hauschka missed the potential game-winner from 44 yards out as time expired, ruining a fantastic fourth quarter finish by Joe Flacco and Co.
