College Football Rankings Week 8<\/h2>\n

This past Saturday we weren\u2019t disappointed by College Football. There were several great games along with a few surprising outcomes.<\/p>\n

Arkansas almost upset Florida in what would have been the surprise of the year, Sam Bradford re-injured his shoulder, Notre Dame fell short again in a winnable game and the Buckeyes looked as bad as they have all season.<\/p>\n

Without further adieu, here are my Week 8 College Football Rankings:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Florida<\/strong>: Even though they won on the final drive of the game they won and that keeps them at #1.<\/p>\n

Alabama<\/strong>: Mark Ingram was a beast against South Carolina. I would have ranked them #1 if it weren\u2019t for their anemic passing game.<\/p>\n

Texas<\/strong>: Great Longhorn defense, terrible performance by McCoy\u2019s offensive line.<\/p>\n

Boise State<\/strong>: The Broncos are 15-1 in their last 16 games as a ranked team.<\/p>\n

USC<\/strong>: Pete Carroll\u2019s is opening the playbook more and more for freshmen Matt Barkley and I am not so sure if USC beat Notre Dame as much as Notre Dame lost the game for USC.<\/p>\n

Cincinnati<\/strong>: The Bearcats won their fourth straight against USF.<\/p>\n

Iowa<\/strong>: Hawkeyes is 7-0 for the first time since 1985<\/p>\n

Oregon<\/strong>: they prepare for Washington after a bye week.<\/p>\n

LSU<\/strong>: Auburn will be their next challenge.<\/p>\n

TCU<\/strong>: TCU’s 6-0 start is its best since starting 10-0 in 2003.<\/p>\n

Miami<\/strong> (FL): QB Jacory Harris seems to getting his rhythm back.<\/p>\n

Georgia Tech<\/strong>: QB Josh Nesbitt completed just one pass but rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns, helping the Yellow Jackets upset the Hokies.<\/p>\n

Penn State<\/strong>: Lions big defense hasn’t allowed a first-half touchdown all season. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Virginia Tech<\/strong>: Georgia Tech\u2019s rushing games was too much for the Hokies.<\/p>\n

Brigham Young<\/strong>: Max Hall threw for 346 yards and had four touchdowns to lead the Cougars to 6-1 record for the second straight year.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma State<\/strong>: WR Hubert Anyiam made OSU fans forget that Dez Bryan wasn\u2019t playing.<\/p>\n

Ohio State<\/strong>: Terrelle Pryor is to blame.<\/p>\n

Houston<\/strong>: QB Quarterback Case Keenum, threw his 77 career touchdown pass, third most in school history.<\/p>\n

Utah<\/strong>: QB Terrance Cain threw for 174 yards, 2 touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Utes.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh<\/strong>: RB Dion Lewis 180 yards and 2 TD helped Pittsburgh to get their first win over Rutgers since 2004.<\/p>\n

Kansas<\/strong>: the Jayhawks didn\u2019t control the time possession of ball and were upset by Colorado.<\/p>\n

West Virginia<\/strong>: RB Noel Devine had 103 yards and 2 TD in the victory over Marshall.<\/p>\n

South Carolina<\/strong>: QB Stephen Garcia is not getting the job done.<\/p>\n

Notre Dame<\/strong>: Yet again a team that could be great falls short when they need to step up.<\/p>\n

Texas Tech<\/strong>: the Red Raiders extended their win streak over Nebraska to four games.
