The Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be back on track following two straight wins, but have had a problem putting teams away. The Lions scored late to record the back door cover and Pittsburgh’s defense continues to struggle late in games. Hard to believe but the Steelers have been outscored 55-13 in the 4th quarter this season.<\/p>\n

Last week, the Browns won for the first time this season, despite only completing two passes. Beating Buffalo is not shocking but if Derek Anderson plays the way he played last week in Pittsburgh, the Browns will be out of this game very quickly.<\/p>\n

NFL Handicapping: What The Browns Have To Do To Win<\/strong><\/p>\n

While anything can happen in the NFL the Browns have no chance of winning unless Ben Roethlisberger is knocked out of this game early on. The Browns are struggling on both sides of the ball and will face a very motivated Steelers defense.<\/p>\n

Cleveland’s offense continues to struggle and have been held with a touchdown three times this season. The Browns have scored 10 or less points in 9 of their last 11 games and with Braylon Edwards shipped out of town there appears to be no solution in the near future. Cleveland has covered only once on grass in their last 12 games.<\/p>\n

NFL Handicapping: What The Steelers Have To Do To Win<\/strong><\/p>\n

Good news for the Steelers as it looks like Troy Polamalu is set to return to the defense. Polamalu was hurt week one versus Tennessee and Pittsburgh’s defense has not been the same since. With their starting safety back the Steelers defense should start playing like last year\u2019s Super Bowl winning unit. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n

Offensively the Steelers have been racking up the yards and points and will get running back Willie Parker back from injury. The Steelers have owned Cleveland head-to-head covering in nine of the last eleven games versus the Browns.<\/p>\n

With Pittsburgh’s 4th quarter struggles this season look for them to be very motivated to play a full 60 minute football game.<\/p>\n

NFL Handicapping: Outlook & Pick<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is hard to lay two touchdowns in an NFL game but this game has huge blowout potential. For the first time since week one the Steelers will have all their key players on the field and in a divisional game they will not let up in the second half no matter what the score is.<\/p>\n

While Pittsburgh should be able to score at will, Cleveland’s offense will really struggle. If they could only manage two first downs and two field goals against Buffalo, they will find this week\u2019s challenge much tougher. Pittsburgh shut them out 31-0 in the last meeting and you can expect a similar score here.<\/p>\n
