Auburn looks to bounce back from an embarrassing loss, while Kentucky just holds on for dear life, when these two get together Saturday in Auburn, Alabama.<\/p>\n

Coming into last weekend\u2019s game Auburn was unbeaten and virtually untested. That changed quickly though when they hit the road against Arkansas, and got thoroughly dominated from start to finish, losing 44-23. In the game Auburn\u2019s high-powered offense was relatively limited, and their defense could do no right.<\/p>\n

If they hope to get back on track this week, it starts with quarterback Chris Todd, who last weekend looked nothing like he did in the previous five weeks. On the game he completed just 15 passes, and his 133 yards were by far the fewest he\u2019s thrown for all year.<\/p>\n

Luckily he should have plenty of help this weekend from one of college football\u2019s most dynamic running games. On the season, Auburn is ranked No. 7 in total rushing yards, at 261 a game. Leading the way are two phenomenal backs in Ben Tate and Onterio McCalebb.<\/p>\n

On the season the dynamic duo has accounted for over 1000 yards and eight touchdowns, with each averaging over six yards per carry. They should have a field day against a Kentucky run defense that\u2019s currently ranked 101st in college football.<\/p>\n

As for the Wildcats, things don\u2019t get any easier, as they are playing a ranked opponent for the fourth week in a row. In addition, they will be without starting quarterback Mike Hartline.<\/p>\n

But as tough as Kentucky\u2019s schedule has been however, give the Wildcats for playing tough. After facing Florida and Alabama in back-to-back weeks, Kentucky went to South Carolina last weekend as 10 point underdogs in the college football betting lines, but fought valiantly before losing 28-26 late in the game.<\/p>\n

Offensively, it is unsure who will be the quarterback, but a strong running game will need to keep getting better. Last week Derrick Locke had his best performance of the year, carrying for 89 yards against South Carolina. Randall Cobb- who may actually play quarterback this weekend- added 89 of his own yards.<\/p>\n

Regardless of who starts at quarterback however, it\u2019s hard to imagine the Wildcats having much success against Auburn. The Tigers are hungry and upset after losing last weekend, and are playing at home for the first time in three weeks. And you just have to assume that they\u2019ll play much better than they did a week ago, against an underrated Arkansas defense.<\/p>\n

Auburn has the better players on offense, defense and special teams. They will cover the 13 points they\u2019re giving in this week\u2019s college football betting odds.<\/p>\n
